[Sample Impression] Clarins Super Restoirative Total Eye Concentrate


This is an eye cream that treats wrinkles, and diminishes the look of dark circles and puffiness. I'm a little wary of using eye creams since it may give my milia, but this one didn't give that that issue. It is lightweight, slightly moisturizing, and I do see a subtle improvement to my under eye area. The key ingredient is organic harungana. Theres alcohol, fragrance, PEG, caffeine, and some extracts. Not the most ideal types of ingredients. Overall I do think this is a decent eye cream, but would rather find one with better ingredients.

[Sample Impression] Amore Pacific Moisture Bound Rejuvenating Creme


I remember getting a Amore Pacific sample and liking it a lot, but the full size product is too expensive. So I do have some high expectations of this sample. Its a 0.1 fl oz sample and the box says its made in Korea. This moisturizer main ingredients seems to be bamboo sap and has anti-aging benefits.

The packaging of the sample is different. It was hard to tell which was top and bottom at first. The cap is a screw on but it covers the majority of the cup the holds the product very much like lipstick products. The cap is much thicker and heavier than the cup holding the product. The product only take up 1/3 of the cup like thing so its look very small compare to the packaging. No, actually I measured it. The cup is 1 inch tall and the product height in it is only 1/4 of an inch. Seriously they could have put it in a foil packet or something. The top of the cap has like a fisheye effect mirror on it too.

First thing about the product I noticed is the smell. The smell of alcohol and that chemically perfume smell mix together. Yes, after looking at the ingredients this, there is alcohol and fragrance in this product. The smell is a bit strong at first but it does die down after some time so it doesn't linger all day. The creme is really lightweight and absorbs well. It says it mimics skin's own barrier function which I'm not too sure how one can really tell if its working or not. It also says it boosts the skin's ability to bind moisture which is kind of hard to tell since this is a moisturizer you can feel it moisturizing. There's anti-aging properties too.

The ingredients list is a long list of mostly scientific names with some extracts from flowers and seeds. I don't see a noticeable improvement to my skin, so I don't feel it justifies the $150 price for te full size product. So I wouldn't recommend it since there's probably better moisturizers out there at a cheaper price.

[Sample Impression] Lancome New Advance Genifique Youth ActivatingConcentrate


This serum I have been wanting to try for awhile and thankfully got a little sample bottle. I'm guessing the "New" means this is a new formula. I haven't tried the older one so I can't compare. The sample came with an ingredients card and the ingredients are concerning. Namely there are 3 different PEG ingredients which I recall are not good. There's also fragrance too.

The sample is 0.27 oz in a black bottle. Hard to see the product inside so its difficult to tell how much is left. The bottle also comes with a dropper too. It lasted me nearly 3 weeks for me since I used it twice a day. So far I did see a difference in my skin so I think it does work and is probably worth the price though the ingredients are the main reason for me not wanting to buy it. But after the first week I really didn't see anymore signs of improvement to my skin.

[Sample Impression] Fresh Black Tea Age-Delay Lotion Broad Spectrumsunscreen SPF 20


Tried a sample of this sunscreen lotion. Its probably the most lightweight sunscreen I've used since I barely feel it once it dried. The product is like watery lotion. It doens't have any moisturizing properties so best to use a moisturizer as well. What I don't like about this is that it has fragrance which I can smell during the day. Not a fan of fragrance since its mildly irritating to my eyes and can give me a headache.

I can't say how good this is as a sunscreen, but it doesn't give you a white cast and its lightweight. Its too bad it has fragrance thought even if it didn't have fragrance I'm not sure if I would really buy a full size of this.

[Sample Impression] Dior Capture Totale Dream Skin


Dior Dream Skin is a age defying skin treatment that evens skin tone and texture, diminish wrinkles, and increase radiance. I'm not sure if this is like a serum or not, but its probably more like a bb cream. You can wear it by itself or over your skincare routine. It doesn't give any kind of coverage like a bb cream would, but it does slightly evens the skintone.

The product is a peachy skin in color, and its runny like liquid foundation. Its pretty easy to distribute it all over the face. It has a strong flowery scent which I'm not a fan of. It feels like a primer on the skin too. Its definitely a unique product on its own, though I don't see any kind of remarkable difference to me skin.

The full size is $115 for 1oz and $150 for 1.7oz. That's expensive and not something I want to spend for such little results. I saw that one of the ingredients is diamond powder. Why is that in there I have no idea.

[Sample Impression] Omorovicza Thermal Cleansing Balm


This is a thermal cleanser made in Hungary. It is advertised to detoxify, clear pores, remove impurities, and revitalize skin. It contains Hungarian moor mud from one of Europe's largest thermal lake.

The product is a dark grey gel like mud cleanser. Its like mud and oil whipped together though I can't really describe it well. Its like a charcoal cleanser. The smell is mild and is like clean oil. It feels just like a oil cleanser too. Sweet almond oil is one of the top ingredients as well as beeswax. I'm not use to oil cleansers so the oily feeling is not the most clean feeling in the world when using this. Though it is relaxing, and hydrating. It can be hard to tell whether I rinsed the cleanser off or not since it leaves a slight oily feeling on the skin. It dry your face thankfully.

Overall, I think this cleanser is ok. The full size product has a hefty price of $110 for 1.7 oz and $175 for a 3.5 oz jar. There is a 0.5 oz jar for $32, and a cleansing mitt for $15. I personally don't find the price is worth it. The cleanser does a good job of cleaning my face, and saw a bit of results though nothing that is worth the price tag. I think its worth trying at least so get the smallest jar if you can.

[Sample Review] dr. brandt Microdermabrasion Skin Exfoliant


Dr. Brandt microdermabrasion. I never tried this brand before so I wasn't sure if its good or not. Its advertised to renew radiance, polishes, and smooths skin. Instructions says to dampen skin with warm water, and gently massage cream for 1-2 minutes.

The product is a white cream with some grittiness. There's no plastic beads instead it has aluminum oxide crystals. Its really fine like sand so its not super rough feeling. It has a blend of jojoba, chamomile, and aloe vera into the cream to soothe the skin. The cream also smells a lot like toothpaste. It has menthol in the ingredients so that would explain the minty smell. It took a quarter size amount of product to over my face. It doesn't hurt and its quite like a regular cream cleanser. But after I rinsed I definitely saw that my face is a lot more brighter and clearer. It helped minimize my pores and blackheads, and it took some dullness away.

So far no irritation or breakouts. I am quite impressed with it, but the full size price is $78 for 2oz YIKES. Luckily Amazon has it for $69 but it is still on the pricey side. Though since the results were impressive I do intend on saving up to get it. So would recommend giving the sample a try first to see if it works for you. Otherwise I do recommend this exfoliator!

[Sample Impression] Origins GinZing


This is a sample review of Origin's GinZing Refreshing Face Mask. Its advertised to give your tired looking skin more radiance. Instructions says to apply on the skin and leave it in for 10 minutes then tissue off. I was able to get 3 masks out of the sample. So far I didn't see any improvements to my skin.

The product is a clear gel that has a slight scent of ginseng and sweetness. Its really light so I hardly smell anything from this product. I wouldn't say this was refreshing either. So I am not that impressed with this product. I wouldn't buy it.

[Sample Impression] Michael Todd Wild Berry Skin Peel


This is a sample that came with my order. I was hesitate on using it since it says its not for sensitive skin, but I figure I would try it just to see. This is a exfoliating treatment with AHA and BHA's. Description says the fruit enzymes will support natural cell turnover, smooth fine line and wrinkles, unclog pores, and improve skin condition.

The product is like syrup, and it also looks like a wild berry fruit juice. It even smells like wild berry juice, and its smells delicious enough to eat though that be a really bad idea. Directions say to apply a even layer on the skin, and let it set for 10 minutes and no more. I didn't want to risk irritation so I left it on for less time. It does have a slight burning sensation on more sensitive areas. So I've been using it on my nose rather than my entire face.

There is a warning for your skin to be more sensitive to sun and possibly irritation after the treatment so they advise to wait a week before another treatment. So far, I haven't gotten any irritation and results were subtle. I primarily just like it for the berry smell. As to whether I'd buy it or not I'm not sure. I might buy it just because its the best smelling exfoliator I've ever tried.

[Sample Impression] Yves Saint Laurent Fusion Ink Foundation


Got this sample of YSL's Ink Foundation and it be the first for me to try anything from YSL. I've usually used BB creams or powder for foundation so using this liquid foundation will be a first for me.

The sample came in the shade Almond which I thought would be too dark for me, but the color didn't seem to matter because as soon as I start blending it it disappears. As its advertised, it is light as a feather. I could barely feel it when I scooped it out of the sample card so I think its pretty accurate to call it ink. Didn't even use a brush to apply it and blend it just used my fingers, and it blended pretty darn well. The coverage is decent as it made my pores invisible, and minimized the appearance of redness, blemishes, and age spots. It has a really natural look as well so that's a huge plus. I never used anything that made it look this natural looking. Not sure about its buildabilty since it seems it will look cake-y if you build it up. The matte finish is nice that I don't think I need to use powder to set it. It even matte-ified the shine I already had on before I applied it. The foundation does has a slight chemically perfume smell, but its not to bad.

Overall, I highly recommend this! The full size is $60 which isn't too bad, and comes in lot of shades.

[Sample Impression] SIIAR en SIIAR BB Cream


I got a sample of this BB cream from a friend in Japan. Its a SPF 15 bb cream that brighten, nutritious, moisturize, sebum control, and is waterproof. The texture is like foundation makeup, but the color is off for my skin. Its darker and pink-ish. Its very noticeable that my face is a different shade than the rest of me, haha. Unfortunately this seems to be the only shade.
Right side is BB cream and left side is clean skin. Photo didn't really catch how much darker the BB cream was on my skin.

Its not bad. It has a faint smell to it, but I'm not sure how to describe it. Its not that pleasant, but since its faint I hardly notice it. The coverage is not bad, and it does a pretty good job. It has a medium coverage overall. It minimized most of my pores, diminishes the look of some of my dark spots, and evened out my skin tone. It feels really lightweight when it dries up too so its quite comfortable. Definitely better than the Skin79 bb cream I tried.

Since I can't seem to find a store that even sells this I won't recommend it. I think it might be a drugstore type brand though. Definitely something I would keep an eye out for.

[Sample Impression] Bliss Multi-'face'-eted All-in-one Anti-aging Clay Mask

Bliss Multi-'face'-eted mask is advertised to even skin tone and texture, reduce the look of pores and wrinkles, brightens and moisturizes to reduce signs of aging.

The product is dark grey in color, and its dry-ish clay texture. It feels sandy on the skin when you apply since it seems to dry pretty fast. You apply a thin layer onto clean skin, and leave it on for 5-7 minutes. Then remove with a wet washcloth. Do use a washcloth because this sandy stuff sticks to your skin like glue and glitter. Its hard for me to remove this stuff, and I have to keep checking for anymore light greyed areas. Even if I was careful, it somehow always ends up on my eye area when I try to clean it off. You can imagine how bothersome it can be to have this stuff in that area. Even a shower couldn't take everything off. There's always some grey-ness on my skin afterwards that stays there for a day or two. Its especially noticeable in the inner eye area. It has a minty smell that is really similar to toothpaste smell. It has 10% glycolic acid so its suppose to take away dead skin which is noticeable. My skin does look healthier. The sandiness and dryness of this mask does perform like sandpaper on your face.

Because of the trouble I had with taking this product off, I didn't want to continue to use this sample. I've tried it twice and its just a pain so I threw it away. Would not recommend it!
