World of Final Fntasy Meri Mero

World of Final Fantasy now has a mobile app game! Its only in Japanese but hopefully it can come out globally. Like with the console game, this mobile game you collect mirages and battle with them. The story is one of those typical "recover your lost memories" kind of deal. If you like WOFF than I would recommend checking this game out.

Like with most mobile games, there is gatcha, battles nodes, and upgrading. Mirages are the monsters you use to battle with, and its like Pokemon. You can get mirages from gacha or as drops from battling. The other items that get dropped from battles are used to upgrade mirages. Each item upgrades certain things to mirages like the purple block things are used to level up, the seed thing with a heart does HP. When you fill the bar or gauges up you can unlock new abilities. You will have to upgrade the star level of that mirage in order to access to the other abilities. To do that you will can to get doubles of the mirage and get medals from them. You also need star medals which I've only seen as a reward for completing certain missions in battle.

The five buttons on the button are: Adventure, Mirage, Garden, Gacha, and Hunt. Adventure is where you go battle. There are battle nodes and each has 3 missions or battle challenges. There will be a cube golem in the map that will have a certain number of missions you need to complete in order for it to stop blocking your path. There is also a dark cloud with red eyes that will be a boss battle. In the battle mode, the mirages melee attack automatically. On the UI below, the top left is speeding up or lowing down the battle.  On the lower left is obviously a pause button where you can look up enemy info. The bottom right is a Manual or Auto battle mode switch button. Each of your mirage will have a AP circle gauge. When this fills up and starts flashing it can do an ability. In Manual mode you will have to tap on it and it will prompt you to choose an enemy to attack. In Auto mode it will use an ability automatically. You may notice numbers come up when you tap on your mirages. This is queuing the order of which mirage you want to use their ability in. In order to get the mirage to stack up and attack the gauge in the middle needs at least one block filled. The top right is the summoning FF characters but since I have yet to get one I can't say how its used. All I know is you need to get a certain mirage from gacha, unlock the ability to summon the FF character, and in battle do a stacking ability to summon. You start off with 3 slots for mirage sin battle, but the other three spots will unlock when you get to level 7 to 9-ish so its not a long wait.

The Hunt is just sending out your mirages to gathering items for upgrading. The Garden is your main hub. You can set mirages to appear there in the Mirage screen, and sometimes they may give you presents with items. There hasn't been any events or anything yet I may keep playing and update this at a later date.

Zasshi Online

Do you like Japanese magazines? Don't like the high price of having them shipped to you? Well I have found a site that you can purchase ebook versions of Japanese magazines, and there's no need to pay shipping! Its called Zasshi Online!

They have a pretty decent selection of magazines, but there's isn't any anime magazines. There are a few manga ones, but please do look and see if they carry your favorites. They allow foreign cards so its not hard for oversees customers to purchase. Although my Amex card didn't work for some reason, but not troubles with my other cards. You can read them on your browser, tablets, and smartphones.

Once you purchase an issue, you can read it in the reading room "リーディングルーム" and click on the issue image. It will open up the reader and you can click the arrows to read the magazine. Its pretty easy! I've screencapped what the reader looks like. The image is crisp clear, and you can zoom in quite a bit as well. Highly recommend it and hope they add more magazines.

Yume Oukoku to Nemure 100 Nin Oujisama (Yume 100) App

This is one of those Japanese puzzle games where you match up colors to attack enemies. This is a story based game as well. You are a girl who gets sucked into a world where you are apparently a princess in. There are monsters and the princes of the world are trapped sleeping in rings which you have the power to release.

The games main website has a list of characters and their seiyuus (voice actors). They're all male so this is a game targeted at girls. If you are a seiyuu fan you might be interested in this. The game has otome features as well, but it has an interesting element where the prince can transform. When you level up a prince, you can unlock his story. Through the stories, you get choices. Each choice will either give you sun or moon points. There is a balance scale when you go look into the prince's card. When you get the prince to max level you can transform him to which side he ended up being. This will transform him to a stronger card and his appearance will change. So when you look at the character list, you will notice that seiyuus are listed on two characters.

There are 4 types of currency in this game and I will name them based on their image description: coins, fragments, gems, and F coins. Coins you get from battling. When you combine cat cards and other unwanted cards to a prince its cost coins. The fragments you get when you want to delete unwanted rarer cards. I've only see them used in the gacha section. Gems are the most important since you need this to increase you inventory space, and to get rarer princes from gacha. These can be hard to come by, but you can get a couple through the login in bonuses. F coins are friend coins. You get these from players who used you with battle assistance, from battling, or from comments. These are for getting low rarity cards.

The cat cards you get are what you will want to use to combine with your princes to level them up. You can level them up during battle as well, but this is just a another way that's quicker. The fairy cards are for transforming. Each transformation requires certain fairy cards so keep them for that. The game gives you a small inventory space to start off with so have at least one gem in case you need more space.

Gameplay is pretty simple. Chose story (big circular button on bottom right corner), and then chose a available world from the map. Choose a stage, and then choose a assistance player. After confirming you will battle 4-5 stages of enemies and a boss. Chain as many of the same colors as you can within the time limit. The longer, and more chains you make the bigger the attack. There will be bombs and hearts to help you out. You will go through the story through here as well, and the story isn't interesting to me at all so I tend to tap and try to get through it as fast as possible. In the first world, there is an Event tree. This is where there will be challenges and event battles will be. THe game features princes to get through gacha, and these princes will have an event. There is story included with these events as well. This is another way to get gems and other items.

This game is not too bad, but over time it does get a tad boring for me. Its quite grindy which isn't fun for me. If you like these types of puzzles then I'd recommend it.

"Ikusei! Otoko no Musume~ Yamete! Boku Otoko dayo!" Japanese App game

This is a simple game where this high class boy is dressed as a girl by his maids. The main screen the boy and a bunch of maids will be walking around. Tap the maids and they will run to the boy and smoke poofs around them. Nothing happens because you need to fill up the LV meter on the top left.

There are 10 stages or levels before reaching the ending. You can see the boy slowly wear more and more girls clothing as you progress. The bottom left most red button is the Diary where you can see the stages. The middle button takes you to where you can see the ending illustration that you've unlock. There Re 3 total endings with the boy dressed in a different outfit. The other three buttons are: Sound (on or off), Review, and Tutorial. The right most button will take you to the developers' website.

When you unlock and ending, it will go back to the beginning. The maids will also not fill up the meter as much. They only gain 5 points per maid, but I believe they were 10 before I did an ending. This game is kind of entertaining, but it is pretty simple. Its not a game you can finish easily since the levels jump quite a bit. Not exactly a game I would recommend, but if you got time to kill and want to see a boy crossdress then give it a try! There is also another version of this game with a rockstar boy as well.
