I haven't listened to a BL drama CD in a long time. I came across a clip of this and it was well acted that it piqued my interest. Also I don't recall ever having heard Kamiya in a BL CD before so I thought I should hear at least one. So this is based of a BL novel, and there's a whole series called Seikanji-ke which is the family name of the uke (bottom) of this drama CD.
A BL manga by Natsume Isaku, and a cute one at that! It centers on Izumi who had to move to a run down tenement house complex after his apartment was robbed. Naturally he is very unhappy but will deal with it. He goes to greet the other residents who are Haruto the complex's manager, Momo and Jin who know each other for awhile though I'm not sure if I would call them friends, and the two girls living together are Ayano and Yui.
The residents are quite quirky and at time overly friendly with Izumi who they just met. Its quite different to what Izumi is use to especially since they all eat dinner together every night. So starts Izumi's life in the tenement complex. At first he found Haruto to be quite rude, but was told by Momo that Haruto has bad social skills. Izumi soon realize that Haruto is not at all a bad guy, and his impression of him changed when he saw him smile after agreeing to go to the aquarium together. Since then Izumi tries to get friendlier with him. I won't spoil the rest so please give this a read!
Saezuru Tori wa Habatakanai is one of Yoneda Kou's latest work and its currently ongoing. Its recently been licensed in the US by Digital Manga Publishing so look out for it in the bookstores. I usually not that much into Yoneda's work, but this one is just .... so amazing! I just find the main character, Yashiro, very interesting.
Yashiro is a yakuza whom others describe as lewd and a big masochist. He's quite a troubled human being since he seems to never experience happiness in his rather messed up life. The story starts with the prequel of when Yashiro was in high school. He had perhaps not the healthiest sex life at that time, and always wore long sleeves even in the summer to hide the rope burns. That's when a fellow classmate has noticed them and given him bandages. Which starts their weird friendship since this friend, Kageyama, plans on being a doctor and also has a very odd fetish on scars and burns. The prequel got me sucked in.
