Final Fantasy Mobius Multiplay

マルチプレイ

Multiplay is the multiplayer aspect of the game. You essentially be paired with random players to defeat a boss. The boss have unique drops which you can exchange for items. You access it by going to the Ring of Brave リング オブ ブレイブ region.

Multiplay has its own set of decks and stamina bar so be sure to set your cards. There are 4 roles that players play during multiplay: attacker, breaker, defender, and supporter. These roles depend on the job you choose to go with and there will be a icon indicating your role. The roles doesn't restrict you from doing whatever you want though. Attackers are obviously ones to do the big damage to the boss. Best to have a deck with the boss' weak element as well as high attack power. Breakers are ones who would make the boss break the most. Deck should prioritize on high break power. Defenders are responsible for giving everyone elemental shield. While others can do their own shields, defenders can do it for everyone in one turn. While this role isn't as active as others, it is helpful to have cards that can turn elements into a certain type if elemental shield is truly needed. Would definitely be important in high difficulty battles. Supporter are obviously the ones who heal and buff. These will be cast to all members like the defenders.

Stamps are emojis as a way to communicate with the other players since there is no chat. They are voiced as well and some are in English so that makes English speakers easy understand.

Multiplay is rather simple. There will also be events for multiplay so be sure to get the event items before its over!

Final Fantasy Mobius Ability Cards

アビリティカード

This game's ability card is quite confusing since its has many things going on. So first off, when you look into a card there are 3 screens: the art, ability + skill seed, and auto ability.

The 2nd screen, the top 1/3 has basic information: card name, current level, max level, and information (character description, limited time, what seed type it produces). Below that is the ability info which describes the attack ( job type, all to single enemy attack, element, debuff). Below is element type, attack power, break power, critical (star rating), and expanded skills. Expanded skills need to be unlocked and the conditions are shown when you tap n' hold on the skill icon. These skills will buff up your card. Most skills need you to level up your ability level before unlocking which happens at the end of battles or use the エキスパライト card which looks like lightbulb. Yes, Ability also has its own level. Lower star cards seem to have the ability leveled through regular leveling and seed synthesizing, but on a 5 star card you will need to use Revival Tickets. The only way to level is using extras of the same card and synthesizing them.

At the bottom is the skill seed that the card produces after a battle. This also has its own level and it can be easily done by synthesizing any card of the same element as the card you are leveling up.

The 3rd screen has the same top info as the 2nd screen. Below it are the auto abilities which are another set of buffs. Some cards will have one or more hidden abilities which you need to synthesize fractal フラクタル cards to unlock. You can keep synthesizing fractal cards if you want a different ability. This is what separates it from the expanded skill is that you can sort of choose what skill to have though it is random.

Leveling up cards is the most annoying thing about this game personally, and I wouldn't be surprised if they added more to it in the future.

Final Fantasy Remake (12/6 teaser) & FF Mobius FF7 Remake Prelude Event

Much hype over the teaser of Final Fantasy 7 Remake! While some of the changes surprised me, I overall really enjoy what I'm seeing so far.

Some criticism I've seen so far is Cloud's appearance. Yes, he is rather thin and his skin looks more unhealthy than usual. From the interview, it seems Nomura wanted him to look abnormal. I personally find his appearance more fitting to his story. True to the Remake title, Nomura also wanted design change for Barret as well. Will look forward to see how the rest of the characters look. The battle system also is Remade, but Nomura hasn't given us too many details about the battle system. ATB and Limit Breaks are still in the system. From the interview it seems he wants to take his experience with Kingdom Hearts, and Dissidia into the FF7 battle system. Another thing that has people stirred up about is the announcement of it being in multiple parts. People have taken this to mean it will be episodic like the Telltale games, but others have defended it saying the original was in 3 parts each in one disc. Nomura explained this decision that it would be too big for one release, and would mean cutting things outs. Its basically like The Hobbit movie where they turned the book into 3 movies instead of one. They don't want to make a nostalgic game and it seems mostly targeted to people who haven't played the original. They plan to make the story have surprises for those who knew the original. This bit is a little concerning, but it makes sense though it could just mean they're just expanding it due to the sequels and spin offs. When I look back on the original, I think of certain scenes that would look rather silly in the realistic graphics of today.

I don't expect the game to be perfect because nothing is perfect. The original game, its sequels and spin offs weren't perfect. Expecting perfection would only ruin the game for you and that is your own doing.

The producer of of the remake is also the producer of Final Fantasy Mobius, the mobile game. They announced a collaboration of it and the remake for this month.

The event has a few new regions: Midgar, and Mako reactors. You must clear the reactors in order to proceed in Midgar. The event is being released into parts on the 6th, 12th, and 18 of this month. You will also get Masamune when you login. During the event you can get multiple Masamunes which will increase its stats as well as Aerith outfit Echo.

As for cards, there are 2 Cloud and Barret cards, Biggs, Wedge, and Jessie from the Remake teaser. You get them at the Lucky 7 3,000 magicite gacha at the card shop. Each draw you get 7 cards with one guarantee to be one of the Remake cards. There is also a new job card, Soldier 1st which include Cloud's soldier outfit and Buster Sword from the teaser. The cards and job are only available during the event so be sure to get them!

Final Fantasy Mobius Regions

There are 3 types of regions in Mobius and they are easily distinguish by colors: Blue is Main Story, Brown is Seed grinding, and Red is Events and Bonus.

Main Story is where the story of Wol's adventure in Parametia is told. Clearing these is very important if you want to make your cards more powerful. Clearing each chapter will up the max lvl of your cards. Finishing chapter 3 will open up the option to increase your cards to 4 and 5 stars after you clear the Hunter Island. Finishing chapter 4 prologue will give you the feature to job change during battle. Do not skip these!

Seed Grinding is what I'm calling these regions since they have bonuses on the seed you get after battle. The elements that get the bonus change depending on the day of the week which is indicated below on the map. These maps are a good place to grind for seed and level up. There's no time limit or anything so there's not hurry to clear these. Each will have a normal mode, and after you clear that the hard mode will pop up.

Bonuses are the cactaur maps. There are two of them of different level of difficulty. To get in you need 3 of those stone tablet things that you get when you complete the daily mission. Once in you have 30 minutes before you get kicked out. You get cactaur card drops here as well as seed and experience increases. A fast way to level up and get seed!

There are two types of Events: specials and battle tower. Both have a clock since they are limited. The specials are usually the monthly events with event only goodies like cards and fairies. You can keep up with the events either by following Mobius' official twitter or the wiki. Battle Tower is a short even about a week long that will feature a FF small boss that you fight with repeatedly up the tower. Its get stronger and stronger. You get voiced cutscenes in the tower too so that's neat. The treasure you get on the tower are the usual revival cards and such. Definitely worth trying to go as far as you can.

Daily Region is the purple labeled area in the events and bonuses. Its called the Pleiades Lagoon and only certain parts of the map are accessible depending on certain days of the week. These are element based due to some of the days of the week having the kanji of the element in the word in Japanese.

Monday: Dark attribute
Tuesday: Fire attribute
Wednesday: Water attribute
Thursday: Light attribute
Friday: Wind attribute
Saturday: Land attribute
Sunday: Crystals

To get to the open regions you need to use Teleport which is the circular black and yellow button in the middle right of the screen. It looks like a stick figure with a coil around its lower half like a tornado or a snake. Keep in mind the times are according to Japan time so if you live in the US like me we are behind by half a day so Japan is normally a day ahead of me during the day time. Meaning I have to play the tuesday part on Monday.

This region is pretty hard. They take up quite a lot of stamina too: 25, 40, and 60 for the 3 nodes of each island.

Final Fantasy Mobius Tips

There seems to be a severe lack of information on this game in English so I wanted to try to remedy that for any English players out there. For the basic general info on this game please head to my review of when the game came out HERE.

Monthly Giftbox - Under the SHOP tab, there's something called the Mobius Gift Box メビウスギフトボックス購入. It costs 1500 gems which includes a lot of goodies including 6 card summon tickets which cost 3000 gems. You can only purchase it once every 30 days. This is a really great deal so be sure to take advantage of it!

FInal Fantasy Mobius Class Change

クラスチェンジ

Class Change is a feature under the CARD tab. This is where you can change the star rating of your cards.

Star ratings can go as high as 5 at the moment. Not every card can go to 5 stars however. Some cards are faded, dimmed, or light up depending on availability to change it. When its faded like its going is disappear, that means its already at its highest star rating and can't go any higher.

When its dimmed or darkened, that means it can increase its star rating but doesn't meet the requirements to do so. You must tap that card to see what it needs. There are 3 requirements: level, seed level, and ingredient cards. If there's a red NG that means the requirement is not met, the blue OK is you've met the requirement.

When the card is light up, or really its just how it normally is shown everywhere else, that means you can upgrade its star rating. Just simply tap the bottom button that says クラスチェンジ which means class change.

ONE big difference is that you can only go up to 3 stars at first. To go up to 4 and 5 stars you MUST complete the Hunter Island region and Chapter 3 Story region. The Hunter Island is a big map so it might take you awhile to finish. Finishing it will pop up the class change option to go 4 and 5 stars.

4 and 5 stars require different ingredients cards than the lower stars. For 4 stars you will only need the Glow Star card which can be hard to get since its only in login bonuses (I think for the whole month) and in mobius gift boxes. Some cards require one or two of these or be sure you use them on really good cards that you use often.

For 5 stars you need Jaboten Value that is dropped in the big cactaur bonus region that only has 4 battle nodes. You also need element drops from the daily region, Pleiades Lagoon, which I haven't gotten yet which is why the screencap only shows ? boxes. The rest are element ingredients that are dropped in various regions. Look up the card you want on the Japanese Mobius wiki and it will tell you which region they are dropped in.

Mobius Final Fantasy App game

I've been anticipating this game for awhile and its finally out! Mobius Final Fantasy is a free mobile Japanese game designed to have top graphics. It is part of the Final Fantasy line so typical FF stuff like magic, moggles, etc are in the game.

You play as a guy (named Wol, but his name is replaced with your username) who wakes up in a world called Paramitia with no memories. As you go down the road battling monsters, you'll eventually meet other characters. The story is basically Wol fulfilling the prophecy of being the Warrior or Light.

The battle system is interesting. Its not a typical hack and slash game, and involves a bit of tactics which can make battling a challenge. There's a lot of parts to the battle so I'll do my best to explain them! Starting from the top is score, number of waves in the battle, and help, where you can escape from battle. Below that is where Elements is collected. Every time you melee (tapping) elements pop up. You need these to use magic and abilities. Now below that is the monsters. Each monster has two bars (HP and Stagger) and its element. You will want to attack the opposite element in order to do the most damage. Melee hardly does anything to stronger monsters so elements is important. Even more important is the Stagger. The stagger bar has two levels: an orange bar, and underneath it a red bar. You must lower both bars in order to stagger the monster. Stagger is really important because this is the best way to defeat bosses and stronger monsters as it deals the most damage. Especially against bosses because regular melee and abilities don't do enough damage. The monster will lose a turn when staggered so you get to continue to attack it. On the right side are your ability cards: 4 cards from your deck, and one player support card. Each card has a certain number of grey squares. You must have enough elements to fill them up so you can use that ability. The card will pop up with its your turn to show that you can use it. On the bottom is a obvious green HP bar. The number above the HP is HP amount, and above that is the number of moves you can do on your turn. The colorful bar underneath it is your limit break bar. The circular thing is where you heal, put up elemental resistance, and use your limit break. You must tap and hold to have the options pop up. To change target, go to Target View. Auto is automatically do melee attacks to enemies. There is no pause button since the battle pauses when its your turn. It will stay paused till you attack so you don't have to worry about the monster attacking you while you choose or think. You will get a fairy name Echo as a support character. She will randomly aid you in battle by giving you health, or give you one more move.

This game has a job system. You will get job cards through the story, but after that you will get them through the card gatcha. You must level these individually so grinding is a must. Each job has specific elements to them so you can't use certain element cards. You will have to level up at least 2 jobs back to back since each can only have 3 elements and there's 4 total. Its be smart to have all 4 handy. The levels are determined by the cards' level added together. In the screencap above the 4 cards levels are 15, 11, 8 and 9 which equals 43 when added together. Leveling the cards is important since they increase your stats. Higher star cards have higher max level. You can level up cards during battle as well as combining other cards. Each job has a skill panel where you use elemental things you get from battle to add more HP, strength, etc. You can advance the job when you fill it all up, and use a crystal to open up the next panel.

Other than the main area, you will soon open up two other areas. One the fairy tells you about is some Mayan civilization map area. Treasure is supposedly here. There's locks you have to unlock. You have to battle minibosses (diamond shape ghost icon) in order to get the keys. There are also locks where you have to fight a certain number of enemies. This is a decent place to level since you will be battling a lot. The other area is where Garland tells you about that has a lot of cactuars. You get cactuar cards and such from here, but there's a 30 minute limit. You need 3 tome slate things to enter it every time. You get those from completing the daily mission. The cactaur place is really good to gain exp and cactuar which are for leveling up your magic cards. The fights are easy and only has 2 waves. Definitely take advantage of it! More areas continue to be added to the game.

After you finish Chapter 1, there isn't a chapter 2 yet so the story doesn't continue, but you do get some bonuses and new features. Yours cards now have increased their max level! So your 1 star cards can max level to 11 instead of 8. You can also do a Class Change for your cards where you can upgrade it to a higher level card after you've maxed it. You can also use the Revival feature in shop where you can summon a known card. You need revival tickets for those. There's also a challenge area that opens and the map is space-like. Each battle requires o stamina, but you get no element information and no friend support. There are 10 waves of monsters to battle through, and there's treasure in every battle as well.

Lots of grinding for this game. Monsters get quite difficult quickly otherwise this game is kind of fun. The graphics are impressive, and so far it has been running pretty smoothly and no crashes. I did download the high quality version which took an hour. I've never had anything download on mobile that took that long! I have been enjoying it despite all the grinding. Will look forward to events and such.
