I just want to make a post about my experience with customer service from Dr. Martens. I've never purchased anything from them before, but I did want to get a pair of shoes from them. On Black Friday they had a $25 off coupon which is quite a deal so I got the shoes I wanted. Because I never actually tried these shoes on before I had to hope the sizing I got was fine. It wasn't so I had to exchange it.
First I emailed customer service about it. Their returns page said they don't do exchanges, and returns are allowed but $7 will be deducted for shipping. A few days later I got an email back with a return order number, and they were kind enough to give me a unique coupon code so that I still got the $25 off.
However, I was impatient and decided to drive to the nearest Dr. Martens store which was an hour away. The sales rep was helpful to find the right sizing for me, and was able to exchange the online ordered shoes I got with no problem. They require I have the order slip to exchange which I did have. Exchanging in store save me the $7 shipping return charge.
So my tip here is definitely try on the shoes before buying online with Dr. Martens. There are probably other online shoe stores that have better and more convenient exchange and returns than Dr. Martens.
Do you like Japanese magazines? Don't like the high price of having them shipped to you? Well I have found a site that you can purchase ebook versions of Japanese magazines, and there's no need to pay shipping! Its called Zasshi Online!
They have a pretty decent selection of magazines, but there's isn't any anime magazines. There are a few manga ones, but please do look and see if they carry your favorites. They allow foreign cards so its not hard for oversees customers to purchase. Although my Amex card didn't work for some reason, but not troubles with my other cards. You can read them on your browser, tablets, and smartphones.
Once you purchase an issue, you can read it in the reading room "リーディングルーム" and click on the issue image. It will open up the reader and you can click the arrows to read the magazine. Its pretty easy! I've screencapped what the reader looks like. The image is crisp clear, and you can zoom in quite a bit as well. Highly recommend it and hope they add more magazines.
I needed promotional materials so I went to Moo to have them printed. Can't remember how I've heard of them, but I'm glad I did. I have tried a few print-on-demand services online and none were able to reproduce art as precisely as Moo does. I didn't have to fiddle with profiles or gamuts. The artwork is the closest to what I see on a computer monitor I've ever seen! The paper quality is really nice as well. Wish they do other printing services besides business cards and greeting cards.
If you need envelopes you are better off buying them from Moo as well since I have yet to find envelopes that fit them perfectly. The standard invitation envelopes and photo paper envelopes are just either a tad too small or too big. Sure, Moo's prices are not exactly bargain prices but they haven't disappointed me so I'm willing to pay.

A friend of mine told me about this t-shirt site years ago, and its still one of the best places I buy tshirts from. I'm a tshirt girl even though I'm too old for them, but the art they put onto these shirts are amazing. What is innovative about Threadless is having artists submit their shirt designs to be voted by anyone. Each artist that gets their designs into a shirt will get compensation. The community is also great and willing to help artists with their designs.
As a petite sized woman, I do have difficulty finding clothing that fits. Luckily the extra small and small sizes from Threadless fits me wonderfully. Their shirts are from American Apparel, and they are alittle on the small side. They're also a tad expensive but it depends on the shirt design. Luckily they have sales often so wait for those if want to get them cheaper.
There's an odd thing that can happen to these shirts is that they can get pink/orange spots after wearing them. I had this happen to a number of my shirts and have contacted their support about it. They explains the chemicals in the shirt might be reacting to personal products or sweat. This typically happens to their grey and blue shirts. So I will have to avoid buying their grey and blue shirts from now on. Which is sad since there's so many shirts that come in blue or grey. They were awesome to give me a new shirt at no cost and also a $5 coupon for this problem.
They're based in Chicago and they ship kinda slow. They send their shorts in bags too. I've bought some pullover hoodies and they're not bad but they're not as warm as I would like. They're great for mild weather cause theyare on the thin side. Threadless continues to add more products like backpacks, home decor, and cases. They give much more artistic freedom in designing these products and also give artists great exposure. It's worth taking a look!
Overall, I highly recommend them and please check them out!
