Kojie san Skin Lightening Soap

Kojie-san is a Japanese soap that uses kojic acid to lightening skin of dark spots, freckles, acne, stretch marks, and uneven skintone. It can be used on the face and body. A box comes with two 1.5"x2.5"x .75" bars.

My elbows and knees have gotten darker over the summer so I got this soap to try out. The soap is a bright orange color and it did leave a orange stain in my bathtub so be careful about that. The soap bar is small so the bar didn't last me very long. I practically used it on my legs, face, arms, and torso. The soap does lather thickly so I can really work it into my skin. I've just finished the first bar, and so far it did help lightening some darkness. Its not a dramatic change. Its not going to get rid of my skin darkness concerns with the two bars I got. It is doing better than my usual method of just scrubbing with my scrub towel. I will most likely purchase this again so I do recommend giving this a try if you want to lighten darkened skin!

The Body Shop Satsuma Body Butter

So I've read a few times that this can repel mosquitoes so I bought it and have been using it almost daily during the summer. I have to say that I still got mosquito bites. Of course this kind of thing depends on the person.

So this isn't the first time I've tried body butters from The Body Shop, and I have liked it so it wasn't all that wasteful that it didn't repel mosquitoes. It helped keep my skin moisturized, and softened my dry rough patched like my elbows. The smell is just like oranges, and sweetness kind of like orange scented dish soap. I do recommend these body butters. They do a good job.

Dial NutriSkin Replenshing Lotion for Dry Dkin with true aloe

I got this little body lotion with my Dial antibacterial bodywash. I really like how light and smooth it goes on the skin. And it doesn't feel sticky or take awhile to sink into the skin like my Aveeno one. It also has a nice green smell. Maybe cucumbers or something I'm not exactly sure what the smell is, but its bietter than the weird bitter smell Aveeno has. Its does a good job in keeping my feet not so dry but it doesn't help with drier areas like my elbows. Its a pretty good lotion although this is from someone who doesn't use body lotion much. I recommend this for anyone who like a lightweight body lotion.

I'll talk about the bodywash here too. I've been getting body acne which I never had before, but I guess it just comes with age. So instead of the floral, girly bodywash I'm using the antibacterial one. It does help alot with controlling body acne, however I have not tried any of the other body wash that has salicylic acid because I also had a bacterial infection on my skin which I'm pretty sure salicylic acid won't get rid of. Also being antibacterial also fights off any bacteria causing odors like armpit sweat. Although it doesn't do as well as antibacterial handsoap. If only there were more bodywashes that are antibacterial. This product is the only one I could find. So if you know any please tell me in the comments. Thanks!

Philosophy Vanilla Birthday Cake Shampoo and Shower Gel

The great thing about Sephora is that you can get a free bottle of this product on your birthday. It may depend on the month or their supply if they will have this. You will have to sign up for their beauty insider which is free but its worth it if you buy from sephora even if its just once in awhile since the points you earn will not expire.

So this product is pretty decent for being free and they're pretty generous with the size as it lasted me a month and a half. I never used it as shampoo but its gentle and hasn't irritated my skin at all. The smell is light and sweet but it is kind of fake smelling. Vanilla isn't the best smell to me and just rather eat vanilla then smell it. This is a bit on the creamy side and does not bubble and foam much.

If you want to get something for free on your birthday this is one I recommend getting. Sephora will email you the code to use either online and in store. I don't think I'd actually buy this though.
