Seiyuu Social Media List - Twitter, Instagram, Blogs, Youtube

Social media is a great and easy way to get updates and glimpses of seiyuu's life and their other work outside anime. There might be a seiyuu list like this already, but I did not find it. So I am making one myself and hope its helpful to fellow fans. If anyone is missing from the list please comment below!

NOTES: work Twitter accounts are handled by staff rather than the seiyuu themself. I will also list any other work related accounts that would at least have photos. I may add any Radio, streaming, or Youtube channel info as well!

Say U Play Youtube channel has a variety of seiyuus

Kimura Ryohei no Kimuraizm (2018)

I saw trailers for this and thought it looked really cute. I never bought a seiyuu show DVD before but since I don't have any other DVDs I can set the DVD player on my computer to Japan region so it played fine. Kimuraizm is a show hosted by Kimura Ryohei with his two guests Okamoto Nobuhiko and Shimazaki Nobunaga. They do three activities where they have a teacher teaching them how to do these activities. They do golfing, rock climbing, and cooking. I like the cooking part the most. If your a fan of these seiyuus, then you may like this!

So this has the show itself, and there are extras that has the cut out footage that couldn't fit in the show itself. So its a lot of footage to watch! They start with golfing and are taught how to shoot. They do this for awhile. Next is rock climbing or bouldering. This part is shorter since Okamoto sprained his ankle from the golfing. After that they had cooking lessons. The teacher tailored the recipes based on each seiyuu's liked alcoholic beverage. I always enjoy watching seiyuus cook since it seems most of them don't cook. The dishes they made in this segment looked really good and the recipe is provided on the screen.

These seiyuu DVDs can be pretty pricey. I was able to find a cheaper copy on Otamart and used FromJapan to buy it. You can find a lot of stuff on there so check it out!

Okamoto Nobuhiko Braverthday w/DVD (2018)

First time I bought a seiyuu music CD. I got the version with the DVD which sadly doesn't have a digital option so I did have to get a physical version. I haven't bought a physical CD in a very very long time so this hurt a bit. But I wanted to support Nobu and was curious about this CD because he had video game composers to do the music. I really wanted to know how it will sound like! Overall, I was actually impressed with how it turned out. So if you like Nobu and video game music I definitely recommend Baverthday!

The track I like the most is the one the Nier composer did called "tobu tame ni". Its a very beautiful melody and since a lot of the Nier soundtrack has singing it doesn't surprise me it fit the singing well. The DVD includes the full music video for the track Braver which is the song the Dark Souls composer did. Its very chuuni. If I recall correctly, I think Nobu mention its has FF/Sephiroth inspiration. There's also a making of video which just shows some behind the scenes of the music video. The last video on the DVD is the trailer. Overall, this maybe a bit pricey but I've enjoyed the contents so I'm glad to support Nobu and the composers.

Tokyo Encounter

So I've been into seiyuu for a while and I figure maybe I should post some stuff about them. Going to start with this show that Sugita Tomokazu and Nakamura Yuuichi host. Tokyo Encounter is a show that these two play a variety of video games and sometimes have other seiyuu guests. They mostly play old games, and these games I never heard of before since its japanese and probably never released outside Japan. This show is like watching lets plays on youtube, but quite different. Sometimes they do play western games and its actually pretty entertaining to me watching them play games like Left 4 Dead 2 and Grand Theft Auto IV.

The show has a weird schedule as they show every 3 months. They record two episodes in one day so the guests come on twice. So far they have 58 episodes. I will post some episodes stream links since that's the only way I was able to watch this show. Please note that most of these do not have English subs and are mostly raw. Sometimes there's Chinese subs too.

Guest Miyano Mamoru: Ep29 - Ep30 - Ep30.5

Guest Shimono Hiro: Eng sub Ep13-14 - Ep41

Guest Sakurai Takahiro: Eng sub Ep7-8 - Ep27 - Ep28

Guest Kaji Yuuki: Eng sub Ep5-6 There is two tabs above the video with ep numbers. Click on whichever to watch that episode

Unfortunately the video links are down, Its hard to find a stable link the the episodes, but I have found that there are english subbed eps here! However they're a bit behind on the eps. I have found raws with the latest eps on nyaa so you can reliably get eps from there.

Kaji Yuki no Hitorigoto

Hitorigoto means monologue, or speaking to oneself. So this is a radio show of Kaji Yuki talking by himself, but he does get guests on the show to. The description of the show tells us that this is a casual and calm show. Normally he just talks about work and life. Like with other of these kinds of radio shows, they do take letters/emails from listeners and Kaji will read a few on the show.

This radio show is 30 minutes long and is broadcast on the internet at JOQR on Sundays. You may noticed some shows on there do have webcam on, but unfortunately Kaji doesn't have it on in his show. You can search 梶裕貴のひとりごと on Youtube and you can find the past shows there as well. Recently he did two episodes in Hawaii with Okamoto Nobuhiko as a guest. These are audio only so there's no video footage, but there are photos which you can see on their Twitter.

The twitter account for this show is more active than Kaji's own account. The Twitter username is kaji1134. There's another official Twitter account that tweets information on Kaji's current work KAJI_staff. Both these accounts are obviously in Japanese. There are merchandise of the weird bunny like mascot as well as CDs of foreign countries him and his crew go to. The latest one is of him in Singapore. You can find photos of the time he was there on the twitter account I've linked earlier.

Meiji Tokyo Renka Haikara Roman Gekijo 4

This is a seiyuu stage event of Meiji Tokyo Renka, a visual novel game that also has an anime. This is the fourth event that took place on October 9 2016. The first one was back in 2012 they've done this for awhile. I've never watched or played the series so I am mostly watching this for the seiyuus. You can get this DVD here.

Like with most of these events there's a noon and night version. Each are nearly 2 hours long. The first part of the show is a free talk. After that they play a game with billiards where they earn points for doing the challenge of whatever ball number they pocket. After the game they do a short story live reading and then a music performance. They end the show with a closing comment from each scast. KENN also sings a song at the beginning of the noon version.

Even though I don't know the characters they play, the good thing about these stage events is that its not always all about the characters. Its always fun for me to watch seiyuus talk and play games. So if you are a fan of any of the seiyuu cast please take a look at this event!

Nobu Tabi Resort in Hawaii

I believe this is Okamoto's first time hosting a travel show. This DVD is an hour and a half long show of Okamoto Nobuhiko in Hawaii with Toriumi Kousuke. Both have been to Hawaii before, but they will be doing things they haven't done before in this show. You can check out the official Twitter for pictures and stuff here. You can get the show here, the DVD also comes with bonus clips.

The show follows them for two days in Hawaii. First day at Waikiki, Okamoto plays a game to determine the amount of spending money for the trip. He then shops a few Hawaiian shirts for himself and Torumi. Toriumi joins him afterwards. They walk for a bit and shop at a Farmers Market, and then have dinner at a steakhouse. The second they go to North Shore. Shopped at an outlet store that had Kona Coffee, bought soap and hand stamped them, then did some shrimp fishing. They ended the day riding segways on a scenic path on Turtle Bay Resort.

I enjoyed watching them trying out the food and enjoying their time in Hawaii. It is more of a chill show, and not a lot of funny things happened thankfully. Mostly the stores they filmed at had a Japanese person that they talked to so there's hardly any non-Japanese people they interacted with on camera. Don't be expecting to see them speak broken English. Also for the bonus clips one is on Okamoto swimming in the ocean with turtles and dolphins. Toriumi is not with him in that one. The second bonus is them eating at Zippy. If you're a fan of Okamoto, he is quite adorable in this as he always is, and I hope more episodes will be made.

Seiyuu Datte Tabishimasu

This is a traveling show with three 1 hour long episodes of different seiyuus walking around certain spots in Japan. Also called KoeTabi for short. The second season has "the 2nd" at the end of the title. So far there are 6 episodes and one stage event. I have not seen all of them so I can only tell you about the ones I've seen.

First one I saw is one with Kaji Yuki, Shimono Hiro, and Morikobu Showtaro. You can get this episode here. This is the only one with three people, and they visited Kyoto. The first part is only with Kaji and Shimono, and Morikobu joins them later on. They eat, drink alcohol, and had a pottery class. They did more than that, and overall I really do enjoy watching these guys especially Shimono.

Second one I watch is Suwabe Junichi and Okamoto Nobuhiko at Hokkaido. Get this episode here. The first part is Suwabe by himself enjoying food and the sights. He also went to a wine gallery and visited Mt. Tengu. Okamoto wasn't there because of another job, but he joins in later on. They also did a pottery class.

I also watched the stage event where they all shared and talked about their trip together, and then played a dice game. Since they all did a pottery class they showed off the finished pieces on stage as well. The event is rather entertaining so I would recommend it if you're a fan of any of these men. You can get the event here.

RADIO 4Gamer Tap

This is a video live streamed radio show hosted by Okamoto Nobuhiko and Mafia Kajita. They feature mobile games on the show with the game's staff. Each episode is an hour long and airs every other Tuesday at 22:00-23:00 JST which is 10pm-11pm. They upload the episodes onto Youtube a week after broadcast. You can follow their Twitter here and the playlist of all the episodes is here.

This show started out in 2010 and it just called RADIO 4Gamer, and it change its name to RADIO 4Gamer Tap in 2015. Tap would obvious be referring to the tap function of all mobile games. Before I believe they did console games. All the Tap episodes are on the Youtube channel but the older ones when they were just 4Gamer are on Niconico. Here's a list of ep 2-115 but a lot episodes are missing. Episode 1-100 is listed here on niconico. Ep 116 and 117 are missing. Episodes 118-247 is listed here. At the moment there are 70 episodes of Tap on the Youtube playlist I've linked above. I have been enjoying having them play in the background while I do work.

Each episode is segmented into 4 parts. The music they play at the start is a bit loud and startling so I want to say that first off. I mean the first few seconds sounds is an alarm sound and it has scared me a few times, haha. They start the show describing the show and other information about the show like how to send messages and their twitter account. They will also read a message fans have sent and talk a bit. This usually takes a few minutes before they go to the second part which they call Play 4Gamer. This is where they play the game they will feature in the show. Staff will sit and talk about their game. They will show a trailer first and then the staff will explain the concept of the game. Then they will have the hosts, usually Okamoto, to play the game live for a bit to demonstrate how the game is played. This will take up about 25 minutes of the show. The 3rd part is game news and gatcha time. 4Gamer is a Japanese video game site so they will have a 4Gamer employee to come to read off like 3 mobile game news. After that he will try to get the rarest item in a mobile game. The games is different in each episode. He will use all the available game currency in the account to get it. If he gets it or don't get it, they will move on to the last part of the show. The last part they will read more fan messages. In the newest few episodes Okamoto mentions about his live concert event and has asked listeners for their suggestions. The end is somewhat a time for the hosts to let listeners know what kind of work they're currently doing and whatever.

You may have noticed they play with the word "shikoru" in every episode. If you look up the meaning of it word it would come up as "masturbate" but its more accurate to define it as "fapping." This is a dirty joke that is from a really early episode. They played a game where you had to shake the controller and the character in the game shook his katana sword in a really suggestive way that had everyone laugh. This event also seems to be the origin of how Okamoto got his nickname Shikorin from as well as he was the one playing the game on the show. Also from time to time they would have a seiyuu guest on the show.

As someone who mostly has time for mobile games than regular games, mostly Japanese one, I do enjoy seeing all the various games they show. I did watch this at first for Okamoto since I am a fan, but I do think this is show is interesting since its on something I'm into. So if you're a Okamoto fan or like Japanese mobile games do check out this show!

Shougeki no Souma - Oshokujidokoro Matsuoka

If you haven't heard of Shougeki no Souma I definitely would recommend it. This is a fun little show where they have the seiyuu (voice actors) from the anime and have them cook something or eat something the host seiyuu has cooked. The host is Matsuoka Yoshitsugu who is the seiyuu for the main character Yukihira Souma.

These episodes run for about an hour long. There isn't a consistent formula to all the episodes, but this isn't a show where they go in cooking totally blindly. They do have someone to help them a bit mostly off screen. They segment them into different stages of cooking for obvious commercial breaks and announcing anime related information. When Matsuoka is the only one cooking, he would have squid tentacle snacks for his guest to eat. They put different things on the tentacles that seem gross like peanut butter or chocolate.

There are very few episodes that have fan english subs, but you can find them on youtube. There are four DVDs of this, and since the anime is going to continue I wouldn't be surprised if this show also continues. It is a bit entertaining watching these seiyuu cook and talk about the anime and life stuff.

Kaji100!

Kaji100! is a show where Kaji Yuki does a 100 things he wanted to do. Since this started earlier this year, 2017, there's so far only 4 episodes out since they air a new episode once a month. Each episode is about an hour long and each will have a different seiyuu guest that Kaji will do these things with.

Each episode will mainly be them doing one of the 100 things, but there a little breaks probably to lengthen the episode. Each guest seiyuu will make their own list of what they wanted to do but instead of 100 they only list 10. They would talk about it for like 10 minutes. For a few minutes they will do "Kaji Yuki ga tabetai 100 no menu" where its 100 things Kaji wants to eat. Kaji will voice over shots of a dish being made. So far these are really simple dishes like raw egg over rice. Another silly little short they do is attempting to try a Guinness world record. I say they're silly because in the first episode its a toilet paper tower and the second episode is sticking post it notes on your face. Its rather entertaining. There's yet another short thing they do which is where Kaji answers questions for him from Twitter.

If you're a fan of Kaji Yuki or fan of any of the guests, then I definitely would recommend watching this. While these kinds of variety shows for seiyuu isn't new, it is still fun as seiyuu fans to watch them to do all these different things. Learning English is on the list as well and I do hope they do an episode of that.

Sakurai Takahiro no Kakko Warai

Sakurai Takahiro is a popular seiyuu who has voiced many characters in anime and games. Though for games I think Cloud Strife from Final Fantasy 7 is probably one of the biggest role he has. I've been a long time fan of his, so I want to make a post of this show he does. Sakurai Takahiro no Kakko Warai is a 30 minute show where he and a guest seiyuu does a challenge.  He's done this show for a long time, but it doesn't seem to have a regular schedule as so far there's only been 36 episodes.

The latest episode he has Ono Kensho as a guest and they had a pro billiards player to teach them how to play billiards. Its a rather funny episode so I do recommend watching it. Another episode Fukuyama Jun was a guest and they had to guess what these products are. Yonanas machine was on it, haha. These episodes have been pretty enjoyable, but I have yet to watch them all.

Unfortunately I don't I've ever seen these episodes subbed, but I will leave a link to the Ono Kensho episode for you all to take a look.
