This Troiareuke Acsen TOC Toner is the most expensive toner I've bought so far. Its $38 and I bought it on Soko Glam. The TOC in the name stands for turn-over-cycle, another words its cell turnover focused toner. This is also part of the Acsen line which is targeted for acne-prone skin. I do like this toner. Its hydrating and best of all it never irritated me even when my skin is irritated. I do think this toner mildly helped lower the number of breakouts I get.I would definitely like to buy this again but perhaps when I can get it on discount. I do recommend it mostly because its gentle.
I saw this Klairs toner in one of Soko Glams' oily skin routine kits, and since the whole routine kit is too expensive for me I bought the some of the products separately like this toner. This toner is moisturizing, pH balancing, and soothing.
This toner is rather scentless and the texture is like a gel so it pours out thicker than any toner I've ever used. Since its thicker I don't use a cotton pad to apply this. It feels nice to apply it and it definitely feels like it hydrating my skin after all the cleansing. Other than that it is a simple toner that has been gentle on my skin. Although when my skin was quite irritated this toner didn't help soothe it so I'd say it won't help in that situation. I do like this toner and the bottle is close to halfway after using it for 3 months. The price isn't too bad either so I'd recommend this!
SoonJung is a toner aimed to soothing stresses and irritated prone skin. This is my first time using a toner with a specific pH, but I can't really tell if it really made much of a different. But the toner seem to help calm and prep my skin for all the acne products I use.
The product comes in a tall 180ml clear plastic bottle. This amount lasted me for a long time and I used it twice a day. The toner is clear like water and has no odor. I don't use cotton pads to apply I just make a little pool of it on my palm and apply to my skin with my fingers. It absorbs into the skin like any other toner. It definitely didn't irritate my skin even after using a strong acne wash that makes me face red. Other than that it does feel it lightly moisturizes my skin. I think this toner is pretty decent for the price and size of the bottle. If you want something gentle, calming, and moisturizing I'd definitely would recommend giving this toner a try! Its great to use all year long as well.
Got this Yes to Grapefruit mist spray toner for its moisture benefits. Honestly this was sort of random buy as I got it off Target online and needed to meet the free shipping threshold. I'm actually liking it a lot. It really helped calm and cool my skin after using a irritating acne wash, and also the spray makes applying so fast.
This product is advertised to give you more radiant and even skin, but I'm not sure if it did any of that. It is hydrating which is also said it will do. It does hydrate me face well after cleansing, and it feels nice to spray it on. I usually tap around my skin until it dries. So its not a kind of toner that I use a cotton pad and multitask it as a makeup/face wipe while I tone. Though I'm sure it can do that as well just fine. The difficult part about these sprays is how to know when its close to being empty. I have been using it almost everyday, and this 5 fl oz bottle has lasted me quite some months. Overall, I do highly recommend it! This product somehow can be pricey in other stores so do search around for a store that will sell this at a reasonable price. I read a review that said this spray is "deadly" I mean it does kind of spray like hairspray, but its still mist so it will apply gently. It never made me wince or anything uncomfortable.
I highly enjoyed the hydrating Hadalabo lotion that has the white label, and wanted to try their other lotions. The blue label one is their whitening line with arbutin and hyaluronan acid sodium as their key ingredients. Its advertised to brighten skin and diminish dark spots.
Well I can't say if it helped with the numerous dark spots I have I do enjoy this toner for its hydrating and comforting qualities. I've had trouble with lots of toners than sometimes feel harsh to my skin especially on irritated skin. But these Hada Labo toners just don't do that at all probably since it mostly water, haha. I do like using them for cotton sheet masks which is relaxing, and it makes my skin look refreshed afterwards though it only last for a couple hours.
So if you're in the market for a hydrating and gentle toner I recommend this as well as they're other toners. Here's the short ingredients list: Water, butylene glycol, glycerin, arbutin, disodium succinate, hydrolyzed hyaluronic acid, magnesium ascorbyl phosphate, methylparaben, PPG-10 methyl glucose ether, sodium hyaluronate, sorbitol, styrene/VP Copolymer, succinic acid.
It does have one paraben, methylparaben which has a moderate health concern level. I don't use this toner everyday so its not a huge concern for me.
I received the $25 starter kit as a gift of Shiseido's new line Ibuki. It contains the gentle cleanser, softener, and refining moisturizer. Each in 30mL packaging which is a little under half the amount of the full size products so this starter kit is a super deal.
This line is focused on strengthening your cells to produce natural moisture so it can build resistance to problems caused everyday stress, hormonal flucations, and environment. It says it will fight visible pores, breakouts, roughness, UV rays, and dryness. I'm not a huge on Shiseido products since I have tried them before, and they don't really do much of anything for me. But this Ibuki line actually does something. My face has gotten a bit brighter and my complexion improved just alittle. However it seems to make the blackheads and pores on my nose area to worsen. Before I used coconut oil which had sometimes kept them at the most minimal I could get them to be. Since using Ibuki it has made my pores more visible even when I put on coconut oil as well.
The gentle cleanser is pretty nice. Its creamy and it lathers well and a little goes as long way. It makes me feel clean and doesn't dry my skin out afterwards. The products has a very mild scent which I barely even notice after the first time I used them. The cleanser has a nice citrus smell. The softener is like watered down gel. It goes on the skin nice and absorbs quickly. Its quite hydrating. The smell is a little perfume-y but more like a older person smell. The moisturizer has the least scent to it. I can't really describe it other than lotion-esque. The line is hydrating and moisturizing. Didn't see any improvements on my pores, it definitely didn't stop my acne though it does help it a little, but it did make my skin look a little brighter.
Overall, the starter kit is worth a try. Would I purchase the full size of these products? Maybe but at the moment no. The starter kit can be found at department stores like Macy's, Nordstrom, and Sephora has it as well.
Been wanting to try out SANA toners so I finally bought one! The name is pretty long, but basically this toner is advertised to be gentle and hydrating. Sana is a Japanese company so this product is made in Japan.
The key ingredient is fermented soymilk which has anti-oxidants, whitening benefits, and just overall healthy skin. This product is mostly all natural ingredients with no fragrance, mineral oil, or coloring. It comes in a sturdy clear plastic bottle with a white screw on top. Like all toners it just has a hole to pour out the product. The product is mostly water and its basically looks and feels like watered down milk. There's hardly any smell to it but if you want to smell it it does has a light chemically smell. It kind of reminds me of nail polish remover.
I didn't find anything amazing about this nor did I see much difference in my skin. Think I find the Hada Labo toners to be better. It seems the one I have has their old packaging so I'd like to try the newer one to see if there's any difference. The newer one is bigger with 300ml of product instead of 200ml like the one I have. I don't trust the ones for sale on Amazon. Bought mine through Sasa.
This is a milky toner from GC Labo and I think this is the first time I've used their products. The Makorri is their milk rice wine skincare collection. The rice wine extract promotes blood circulation, and metabolism of your skin as well as help prevent dark spots or freckles. The whey milk moisturizes and smoothen your skin. There is also 9 kinds of amino acids that will beautify your skin. Peach juice and leaf extracts helps lessen redness and inflammation of the skin.
This product is formulated without parabens, alcohol, or coloring but there is fragrance. It comes in a slightly transparent white bottle with a tin soda cap like cap. The product is like low fat milk and the smell is not too bad. It actually smells like sweet coconut which I find odd. I could be wrong on that part I'm not very good at describing or identifying smells. In a way I think it can smell like a sweet rice wine, but overall it just smells like something you can eat.
So far I do like this toner. Its hydrating and absorbs pretty fast. Its also soothing and helps calm my skin down. Especially since I've been using skincare products that are alcohol based which burns and dries my skin out. I think its good for combination and oily skin since its has a good balance of moisture for a toner. Its not as hydrating as the Hadalabo though since its mostly water and not enough oils as Hadalabo. But I would prefer this toner since its soothing especially since I've been using somewhat harsh skincare products. Which also makes it a great cotton mask after a treatment like microdermabrasion or weekly face scrub.
I would recommend this! Still using the toner so I will update this post again when I'm done with it and will add a photo as well.
Got a coupon from The Body Shop so I made an order of products online. It came in this thin bakery box styled plain brown box that has a eco friendly air it. It does say on the side its "wood positive" so its recycled? Not clear on that. Inside the top of the lid has the company's logo and slogan. They added that they're against testing on animals, support community fair trade, activate self esteem, defend human rights, and protect the planet. The products I ordered were resting on top of a nest of shredded crinkled cardboard strips. None of the products were damaged.
The Hadalabo lotions are pretty common asian drugstore brand toners that you can probably find in asian markets. Its a pretty basic hydrating toner with the feature ingredient is called Super Hyaluronic acid which is said to be twice as hydrating and moisturizing as regular Hyaluronic Acid. The product is mostly water is its mostly odorless. I mainly use it to make a 3 minute cotton face mask which I do after a shower. It comes in a 170ml plastic bottle with a snap cap with a hole similar to shampoo containers. The product is colorless like water and its adsorbed into the skin quickly. It quite hydrating and refreshing! Its gentle so its great for any type of skin. Never had any bad reactions to this product not even a breakout so I recommend it. There are other versions of this toner and this one is the green one.
Alot of articles and experts say that vitamin c is good for your skin. So I went and bought this toner since I hear good things about it and plus its affordable. This is a drugstore product so you may find it asian markets.
This product is intended to moisturize and even out your skintone aka whitening. It also says it'll help prevent dark spots. It contains Hyaluronic acid which is great for hydration and having youthful skin. There's no fragrance or mineral oil in it too. The bottle is 180ml so its alot of product. Its great for diy masks too. Since vitamin c is light sensitive the bottle is a dark opaque color. Because of this I only apply the toner at night. Its very water like and has no smell. It absorbs well into the skin and its definitely hydrating. I really haven't see any whitening benefits from it though, but I just wanted my skin to get some c's and hydration.
Overall this is a great product. Its hydrating and doesn't irritated or clog my pores. Also its affordable!
I've heard about this product from a couple makeup people during the summer time so I decided to try it out. I never bought a skincare product that comes as a aerosol spray so it will be new for me. I'm always weary of it because I never know how much product is inside of the can, and this product wasn't the cheapest.
The product didn't have any fancy packaging. It was wrapped in plastic and came with a box of cotton pads. The can says is about 150ml. There's Korean and English on the back with simple instruction. They advise you to never spray directly to your face or hands which is smart. This stuff comes out super cold so it might burn your skin. You have to gently shake the can a few times and spray on the pad to the desire amount. The spray is similar to canned air that you would use to clean keyboards. I had to cup the pad cover the nozzle so not too much product will spray in the air. Its kind of hard to do this and had made a mess of my mirror. I say spray about a centimeter away from the pad to get that foam that its pictured. It becomes way too cold for anything more than a pea size amount to come out. Its very foamy and bubbly than mouse or creamy. Its deflates and liquidizes quickly as well as warm up easily so be quick to apply it if you really want that coldness. Its very light that I almost don't feel it applying it my face so it absorbs quickly. The thing I don't like is that this product didn't last me too long, and at first it had a chemically smell that's not that pleasant but i got use to it.
Green tea has been known to have many benefits to your skin and health, and this combination of green tea and ice is a great. Cold is always known to calm swolleness which is perfect for tightening large pores. I really loved this product during the summer especially at night after a shower despite it being for morning. I really don't like getting out the ice to close my pores so this is a really great option of that. It really helps with the pore sizes however you have to be consistent with it since its only temporary. However it didn't really do anything for my acne.
Overall, I really like it and will plan on getting it again or something similar next summer.
