Dive!!
With Tokyo summer olympics a couple years away, I'm not surprised to see sports anime more focuses on olympic sports. Dive!! is a sports anime on mens diving. Compare to Free! it is quite different. This anime is a little more serious, and most of the characters have insecurities. There's hardly any fun or happy scenes.
The story follows Mizuki journey to the olympics. So far the episodes have been centered on how he's sacrificing the normal teenager life for diving. There are people who are encouraging him, and there are also people who aren't. Mizuki isn't the most likable character, and he does have some personality flaws. The diving club does have other members which the anime also focuses on. So far its definitely not a feel good anime. Though I do keep watching hoping to see how these boys go through all the challenges they face. Its hard for to say whether this anime is worth watching but I would say its worth trying it out.
