Gamers! (2017)
Gamers is a comedy, slice of life romance anime. I don't watch these kinds of comedy romance anime, but I hear this one is good. The anime is about these high school kids who love games. The comedy in it is rather entertaining, though some jokes I do wonder if anyone who doesn't understand Japanese would find as funny. The romance part is mostly a bunch of misunderstandings which surprisingly isn't as frustrating to watch but is actually a bit enjoyable. So give this anime a try!
The main character is Amano, a loner loser guy who doesn't have friends. He's normal life gets changed when the school's idol, Tendou Karen, starts a conversation with him one day and invites him to the gamers club. Since then, some attention is drawn to Amano because Tendou talked to him, and he starts gaining friends. There is some fanservice of the usual shots that focus on the chest and skirts of girls. So far one pantyshot scene was shown. Luckily it was only the first episode that had a lot of it, but after that it lessened.
The games in this anime aren't a big part of the show, but if you are a gamer you may recognize a few games that got features though for obvious copyright reasons titles are a bit changed. Though Persona 4 did come up in one episode. Since most of the characters are gamers, you may related quite a bit with them. Though since they are Japanese obviously they may not play the kind of games westerns may be more interested in playing. Overall, this anime is pretty silly and enjoyable so I do recommend to give it a go.
