October Apps Reviews
Just a short review of some apps I've tried out in the month of October.Pocket Mine
Thought this was going to a Minecraft type of game but its not. You dig down as deep as you can and get treasures, and other goodies. Not really sure what getting all this raw material is for. Your pickaxe has a limited number of digging so the game is over when it breaks.
Not quite a game I find to be fun. It does have nice art and music. It plays fine on my device.
Dead Pixel
A pixel style game were you're this little white block and goal is go as far down as you can go. Destroying the black pixel shapes, and collect coins. There's lots of unlockables and worlds. The music is really amazing too. Despite it being a pixel game this game lags a lot on my device so its not fun to play.
NiceWeather
Was really digging the look of this app so I got it. I really don't need a weather app. This requires locations to be turned on. Sometimes it detects the right town you're in and sometimes its a little off but weather is still the same regardless.
The interface is simple and it did take me a bit to learn what is what. Day the background color is orange and at night its a dark blue. The color does change a bit but not really sure if its random or something else. The big sun or moon icon is easy to know it means if its clear, cloudy, or raining. There are four smaller icons beside it: thermometer, rain cloud, wind speed, and compass for wind direction. You can change the information in settings for example you can set the rain cloud to tell you the humidity percentage or milimeters per hour.
On the bottom is a linear graph of the temperature and time of day which you can drag left or right to read the weather for a certain time. There will be another linear graph for rain. Haven't had rain yet to know what its measures. I wish there was a percentage of rain chances. There might be one but I have yet to find it.
