Temptations by Jell-O

Sometimes I crave chocolate pudding so while looking for it I saw these on sale and decided to buy these instead. They only had Lemon Meringue and Strawberry cheesecake. Jell-O's official site has listed a few other flavors under the Temptations name, but I'm not going to bother hunting for those.

Each pack comes with four snack cups. Each cup has 80 calories. The lemon meringue is actually quite tasty. It has a nice flavorful lemon taste and the tartness is nice and refreshing. Its a pretty decent imitation of the pie. The lemon part is 2/3 of the cup and it has a good custard-ish texture and look. The meringue is more like a mouse. Looking at the ingredients list its kind of puzzling how they made this with mostly water, sugar, cornstarch, and oil. Not a very appetizing list of ingredients, but it does explain the low calories.

I didn't like the strawberry cheesecake as much as the lemon meringue. Despite that it has milk, cheese, and a bit of strawberry puree it tastes a bit off. The cheesecake part is not that appetizing to me, but the strawberry sauce is good. It sits on the top and also there's some in the middle of the cup as well so there's more of it than you can see.

Overall, I think these aren't too bad but its not something I would get again. They're not overly sweet which is good and has very little calories. It be good for someone who is watching their calories and needed a low calorie desert. Seeing as how these are mostly water, sugar, and modified starch it is not the most healthiest thing in the world.
