SINoALICE is a mobile game that Yoko Taro is the creative director for. Yoko Taro is know for his the Nier series and Drakengard series. The composer for Nier also does the music for this app game as well. This game still follows the mobile game model of being free and having gacha system. So if you ever want a Yoko Taro mobile game do give this a try. At the moment its only available in Japanese.

The story and setting of this game is a big library where characters from fair tales like little red riding hood come to life. You will have to unlock these characters from the Story mode. You can unlock alternative jobs of these characters from the gacha. A short voiced monologue gets played at every start of a battle which you can tap to skip. These are kind of annoying as there's no way to stop them from playing again after completing the battle the first time.

The types of stuff you can equip to these characters are weapons which also act as abilities, armor, and nightmares. You can only get weapons from the gacha. You can level them up with unwanted weapons or level up cards which have the sword icons on them. You can fuse duplicates together and increase the level limit of the weapon. A red diamond icon will indicate how many it has been fused with. You can also evolve them which requires max level and certain items. For armor and nightmare, you can get some as drops when you battle in storymode. You can get higher rated ones from the gacha or Events. You can also get a bunch of equipment and items in the medal exchange which is located in the Menu. You get medals from pulling gacha, participating in the Colosseum, and battling in the Co-Op mode. Jobs determine the kind of weapons the characters can use. You unlock them by getting specific weapons from gacha pulls. You can level them up and evolve them similar to the equipment.

Other than battling, there is Cleaning which is a way to get more AP and Experience. These are free to do before you hit I think Rank 20. After that you there's a timer for when you can do it again. You can get Tickets from logging in or doing daily missions to do Cleaning without waiting.

Colosseum requires being in a guild. You can make one or join one. Once you're in one, a timer will appear and let you know how much time left till the Colosseum opens as you can only do this once a day. The time differs depending on what the Guild leader chooses. The Colosseum is a 15 player vs 15 player guild battle. This can take up some time, but you can put it in Automode if you wish.

While this game isn't much different from the many mobile games out there, if you like the style and characters this game has then I would recommend giving it a try.
