I was curious about this series due to the fanart I saw. The character design is quite interesting since they all a very different from each other so its quite easy to recognize them. And yes this is a sport anime on road bike racing! We follow Onoda Sakamichi who is an otaku. He has high hopes of his high school years of making friends who love anime like himself. He's a huge fan of the anime Love Hime, and he rides his bike to school singing the theme song. He's goes on the uphill road to his school which no ones uses. When Imaizumi Shunsuke, a top cyclist, takes a drive up the same road he thought Onoda was crazy. When he sees Onoda again he then starts believing what his eyes are showing him. That this Onoda kid is riding up that steep hill like nothing. Imaizumi then challenges him to a race. Onoda also meets Naruko Shoukichi who is also a top cyclist. Since Onoda isn't able to achieve his goal of starting up an anime club, he decides to join the cycling club with Imaizumi and Naruko who are glad he's there.

For the most part we watch Onoda learn more about cycling, and the other members of the club. They go through training and then training camp which will determine if they qualify for the upcoming  race tournaments. There will be more focus on the other schools during the races. These races are a team effort so there's lots of team spirits going on.

The show does a nice job at explaining cycling, and racing works. You would think it might be boring just to watch them cycle through the course, but a lot of stuff can happen. The races are quite exciting for some reason. Its pretty obvious to me when the animation style goes from 2D to 3D, but luckiyl the styles aren't that different from each other than the use of 3D doesn't look that out of place. What's really charming about this show to me is that lack of a episode preview at the end, and just have a really short extra scene. They are quite fun!

Overall, this is a pretty good series and definitely recommend it!
