Path App
This is a gorgeous social network app. It's fairly simply to
use but its also addictive. Unlike Facebook, your profile is not public
for anyone to see. The app's main purpose is a social network for close
friends and family. You will have to invite people (up to about 120) to
see your page and talk to you. You have to register for a account, but
you don't really need to connect to the Internet to use it. This app is
also like a personal journal.
The layout is similar to facebook's timeline. You have a top image or cover image and you have your profile picture. There will be a vertical line that will grow as you post. Posting also simple: Take a picture, post where you are, post what music, movie, or book you're into, share what's on your mind, and then there's the sleep and awake feature. You can tag people to your posts and people can add smiley stamps or comments to your post. And that's what this app is mostly consist of. There is private messaging as well which you can use stickers which is very much like LINE's free messaging app. The app is fairly simple to use, but I haven't figure out how to delete posts. You can share your posts to other social networks like Facebook and Twitter too.
This app is nice but there are new articles saying they have been collecting information of their users without consent, and have been fined for collecting underaged users information. Privacy is a major issue so I don't really recommend this app unless the staff get their privacy policies straighten out.
