The Peanuts Movie

The Peanuts comic is my favorite Sunday paper comic since my childhood. I've also really enjoyed the cartoons and movies so to see them animated again was really exciting. And in 3D! I am really impressed how they managed to keep the original style in 3D. They've really nailed it in balancing the 2.

I wasn't sure how the story was going to be, but I am sure I will enjoy the movie. The story is very heart warming and fun. Its features quite a bit of the classics in the series with Charlie Brown's kite flying failures, and such. The movie starts off in the winter during a snow day. It already sets up Charlie Brown as the town's kind of "loser" kid. Then a moving truck comes along and catches the attention of the kids. The one moving is the little red hair girl. Like in the comics we hardly see her fast. Other than falling in love with her, Charlie Brown also find her appealing since she is new and so its like a clean slate on her impression of him. The rest of the movie is of him trying to impress her by trying to win the talent show, the best dancer at the dance, ans so on. They all don't end up how he planned it of course.

Snoopy and Woodstock are super adorable in this movie as usual. Them being 3D makes them look quite cuddly like a stuffed animal. Snoopy tries to help Charlie Brown with his love problem while of course being Snoopy. He mirrors it with writing his own love story featuring the Red Baron and Fifi.

The movie is great, and will make you feel warm inside. Highly recommend it! Also if you're a fan of the series, this movie is quite satisfying since well spoiler alert!! Things do go well for Charlie Brown in the end finally.
