Ore Monogatari (My Love Story)
Ore Monogatari is a slice of life romance anime about Gouda Takeo getting his first girlfriend. Takeo is often said to look like a bear because of his body size. He doesn't look like a normal high school boy, and majority of people are scared of him. But he is a gentle giant that has many male friends who admire him. His main problem is that he likes perfect looking cute girls who all like Takeo's best friend Sunakawa Makoto. Sunakawa, or Suna, is a very attractive boy who is quiet, smart, and kind. He is one of those "cool" guys that doesn't show a lot of emotions. The only time he laughs is when he's with Takeo. Takeo and Suna are childhood friends since they're neighbors in the apartment complex building they live in. One day they're on the train and see a girl being molested. Takeo was quick to take action to save her, and that's when he falls in love with Yamato Rinko. Yamato is a sweet girl with a love and talent for making sweets.
This anime is a 2-cour show with 24 episodes. Some of the stuff Takeo does and goes through is absolutely silly, but thankfully the whole show isn't as silly. Its a nice feel good relaxing show. The story is quite innocent so it may seem a tad bit boring at times. I do like how this isn't like a typical shoujo love story, and the characters feel a bit more human like.
