Tayasui Sketches iPhone App
I wanted to try to do some drawings on my iPhone6 since the screens are bigger. I saw that this sketch app has hundreds of reviews and 4.5 star rating so I decided to try it.It has a minimal on screen tool design and relies on swipes to do basic actions like undo and saving. As neat as that is I do find it terribly difficult to use it effectively. To undo I have to do a two finger swipe to the left however it has trouble recognizing that both fingers are on screen. It's really frustrating.
You get four brushes that you can't adjust sizes of. There's two pen types, one opaque paint brush, and one water brush that has the biggest size. The eraser is a given in any drawing app. These brushes aren't bad, but it can be limiting which may or may not be a good thing. Though the thinnest pen is quite grainy I can't seem to make use for it.
This app is good if you do paintings since the brushes aren't too bad, but for just line drawing I find it difficult. It's not at all the same as drawing on paper.
I'm only reviewing on the free features. The paid features have more brushes and stuff, but the swiping actions are frustrating on its own that I really don't want to pay for it. It might be better for tablets than for phones.
