Avengers: Infinity War (2018)
I wasn't interested in seeing this movie, but all the reaction tweets I've seen since the movie came out has made me very curious that I ended up watching it. Its a pretty action pack movie and it definitely time fly by for a 2 and half hour movie. The cast is quite impressive and they all had a fair amount of screentime. I don't feel you need to watch all the movies to get this movie. You can always watch the movies afterwards if want to find out more about certain characters. I do recommend it and this is coming from someone who isn't a big fan of these superhero movies. The rest of the post will be spoilers so don't proceed if you haven't watched it!
I was a bit confused at the start as it got intense right from the start. It started with Thor and Thanos taking an infinity stone from them. I did watch Thor Ragnarok so it did make me sad that their ship got wrecked. Also didn't expect Loki to die. Then things jump around a bit.
Ironman, Dr Strange, and Spiderman is dealing with one of Thanos' men. I like this group dynamic, and since I saw Homecoming I do enjoy seeing more interactions between Ironman and Spiderman. They meet with part of the Guardian of the Galaxy crew and fight Thanos for a bit.
The Guardian guys find Thor in space, and saves him. Thor wants to get a new weapon to defeat Thanos with and part of the Guardian guys go with him. This part probably shouldn't have taken as much screentime as it did, but it was neat seeing Peter Dinklage as a giant dwarf.
The rest of the cast are on Earth and protecting Vision as he has the last infinity stone. They end up going to Wakanda since they can take the stone off him. A big battle goes on that is pretty neat, but doesn't last too long. It didn't surprise me too much that Thanos was able to get all the stones. It was a little repetitive that getting the stones would cost a life, and they would always forfeit the stone to save them. I'm not sure how I feel about this Thanos character. I never read the comics so I don't have any prior knowledge. He is strangely not as violent as he appears despite he does cause a lot of death. Probably because he mostly has been speaking calmly. It was sad seeing people disintegrate, especially when Spiderman was hugging Ironman. That really got me.
I've seen people think a time warp thing may happen which would make the most sense. I am curious to how they solve this in the next movie. I just want Spiderman to be safe! There is end credit scene of Nick Fury calling for Captain Marvel. The cast just keeps getting bigger!
