My Tamagotchi Forever
I was surprised to hear there's a official tamagotchi mobile game as I wasn't sure how tamagotchi are still a thing today. I remember having a few as a kid so I did get this app for the nostalgia. I really didn't like it at first mostly because it has that usual mobile game model, and I really didn't like the noises the tamagotchis made. Luckily you can turn off the voices, and nothing so far has made me want to pay real money.
So I did stick with it for a few days, and so far I didn't kill it. The old games these tend to die rather easily if you didn't babysit it regularly. So far there are 3 babies, two toddlers, 4 teens, and 8 adult types that you can unlock. The 3D art of them is a little weird so I kind of wish there's a official old school tamagotchi app instead. But like the old games, there is still a bathroom, food, games, and sleeping that you do with the tamagotchi. You can buy certain types of food, and for games there are minigames but you can just pet the tamagotchi to raise its happiness.
The games only come to be used when they get to the adult stage and require something from the games in order to graduate. There is also levels that you gain and leveling up will unlock for types of food and items you can decorate the outdoor area. Overall, this is not too bad of a game, but its not exactly a fun game. Each type of tamagotchi is obtained by the kind of food you feed it in the previous stage. The game is still kind of new so hopefully they will add more to this game. I guess the best thing about this app is that the tamagotchis don't die, and I don't need to buy the game.
