Battery
To be honest, I didn't know anything about this and when I saw the trailer for it I thought it was a BL for a minute. It didn't interest me but since I hear people are looking forward to it I figure I should give it a shot.
This anime has a slow pace. It centers around freshmen middle schoolers name Harada Takumi and Nagakura Gou. Harada is a very talented pitcher who moved into a small town which doesn't have an impressive baseball team at his school. Harada is a little brat. He a bit full of himself and argumentative. Doesn't like listening to anybody and expects people to listen to him. I really can't stand this kid. Gou is from the town Harada moved into and has heard about Harada that he was quite keen on being is catcher. While Gou does stay on Harada's good side, there are times he argues back whenever Harada is out of line. There aren't huge consequences for Harada since Gou still comes back to be his catcher. Harada is a way for Gou to actually play in games. Since they are freshmen, they normaly wouldn't get to play since the third or second years would get priority.
This anime is frustrating to watch mainly because of Harada. I ended up dropping it since everything else didn't really interest me. Would I recommend it? I suppose its worth a try if you are into baseball and wanted something quite different from Oofuri and Daiya. Otherwise, I think it ok if you can tolerate Harada.
