I saw people recommending this so I gave it try. This is based of the manga and the story if about single father learning to cook for his young daughter. The father is a teacher and they meet a girl from his school whose mother is a great chef. She offers the teacher her assistance with his goal. This anime is pretty heartwarming and also tear jerky.

The daughter, Tsumugi is adorable and rather well behaved. She may not be the most realistic child, I think the show does a great job at balancing the troubles of a kid this age with the ideal child we wish for. Not sure how to describe why a story of a father trying to do his best to feed his daughter good food rather than the frozen and pre-package food he used to give her would make viewers cry. It is emotional seeing how happy they are when they eat delicious food they just made.

Now with a story like this, there are people who suddenly have their opinions on how to raise children. I would advise to not look at this show to judge a fictional father on his parenting. Also the show doesn't romanticize the relationship of the teacher and the female student which is good. Since these are fictional characters, if you want to romanticize them you can and I won't judge.

I do highly recommend this. I got hooked rather easily to it. This is a slice of life anime and not a drama one so its a rather comfy show too. Do give it a try!
