My experiences as a woman with 32AA cup
No one has really taught me about bras, and the thought to ask about bras never came to mind. Throughout my teens I've worn an A cup, but during college I realized that its big so I had to go looking for AA. Which is near impossible to find in stores that isn't a training bra. I had to go online and finally bought some super cheap triangle bras from Hong Kong on eBay. Now these, fit me perfectly and had lasted me for a few years. I bought one in 32AA which was a tad tight so I got the 34AA which is more comfortable. They were also wireless which I like since I really don't need support. The sad thing was the eBay seller I got the bras from is no longer on ebay anymore when I went to get more. So I found a 34AA full coverage bra and bought it. When it came, I tried it on and realized its too big on me. Luckily it didn't cost me much so it wasn't a total lose of money. I would wear it a couple times a month around the house. Plus the full coverage wasn't too comfortable as its more coverage than I'm use to to and it digs alittle too close to my underarms. It took quite a bit of adjustments to make it feel comfortable enough to wear.
So recently, I decided to get a 32AA now that I learned the band sizes also affects the cup size. As I was searching on eBay I also noticed there were two different types of bras that are listed: ones for girls and ones for women. The girls bras tend to be smaller which makes sense. So it hit me that the ones that fit me well were the girls bras! That explains why the 34AA bra ended up being big on me on the last bra I bought.
I went ahead and bought a 34AA girls wired bra (sadly no wireless ones) and when it arrive it fit wonderfully! The straps were on the short side but extending it out all the way is good enough. Its been awhile since I had a wired bra so it was alittle uncomfortable at first. I hear wired bras will keep its shape better since my wireless ones have gotten pretty wrinkly. However once the wires get wonky or damage the bra you have to throw it out. My wireless bras maybe be wrinkly, but I can keep them for years.
Now, you may think girls bras are not sexy and have limited choices, which is true. I do not mind the plains colors and simple girly patterns. I wanted a modest look and do not want to invest in fancy bras. The sexy bras are too expensive ($40) and its really hard for me as a small chested girl to spend that much for a bra. Even the plains ones that are for women are expensive. Now I know some small chested women just choose to not wear a bra which I sometimes wish I can do. There is little to no supporting evidence of bras preventing sagging breasts by the way, they only give your breast shape and support for the day. Most of my clothes are on the thin side so my nipples will most of the time show if I don't wear a bra which is very embarrassing to me. So I have to wear a bra if I'm not layering enough to hide it. I am aware that the pricier bras will most likely be more comfortable, and longer lasting. If I had the financial stability to spend $40 on whatever without guilt I would buy it. But since I don't, I have to budget my money. If I had bigger breasts that definitely need support then $40 is worth the money.
It is a little embarrassing to have a small chest, but I really don't mind it. It is hard for me to also be short so with the a small chest I am forever stuck in this middle schooler sized body. But I do feel some comfort that I won't have saggy breasts that go down to my hips when I get old. Though it is hard to find clothes that don't need a bigger chest to fill in. Being also a tomboy I can't have short hair as I will definitely get mistaken as a boy. But having a small chest never caused me any problems. I only got teased about it once in my life. So other than finding bras, having a small chest should really be the least of your worries.
