Clean&Clear Persa-Gel 10 Acne Medication

This is a review of Clean&Clears acne spot treatment with 10% Benzoyl Peroxide and what I do to treat acne.

I've had this 1.02oz tube for probably 2 or so years. I only use it for really embarrassing acne, and huge ones. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't for some reason. But one thing is for sure that using this often will dry and irritate your skin in a way that will make it worse than the acne. I have end up getting flakey on the unaffected skin around the acne. If you need to put it on more than twice than I suggested cleaning the good skin of any of the cream so it'll just be the acne that will have it on. This works fine on keeping oils at bay but again not a daily thing to do or else your skin will get worse. I only apply once for two days and I leave it alone till it heals or apply it again on the fourth day if it doesn't look like it's getting any better.

It is a good idea to leave the pimple alone till it dries up and heals. If you need to pop it I highly suggest you get a sewing needle and rubbing alcohol. Disinfect the pimple area for a few seconds and the needle too. Then slowly poke the pimple till the puss comes out, and just dab it away with a tissue with rubbing alcohol. Don't squeeze but just apply gentle pressure on or around to get any excess. Don't try to get everything out cause you might agitate the skin and cause scarring. So just apply pressure to seal it up and let it heal itself (15-20 minutes at least) before continue with skincare and makeup. You can lessen its redness with ice but its only temporarily. This is what I do to pimples but since I'm prone to scarring and discoloration I still scar but not as badly as if I squeezed it.

Also using gentle acne products or products that helps with acne will help heal better and faster. Using tea tree oil and masks (clay like Mint Julep and hydrating face sheet masks) will definitely help. I feel these help better than the acne treatment creams but together it works very well for me.
