Hinomaruzumou (2018)
Hinomaruzumou is a sports anime on sumo wrestling. I know that this may not sound appealing for some since we'd think of nearly naked big men go at each other however this anime is plenty of muscles going on as well. It follows one of the usual sports anime stories of forming a nearly started club. The members they got are different and has the tropey kind of personalities which isn't too bad here. It is entertaining and even exciting at times. I've heard manga readers are disappointed that this anime adaptation had cut out some stuff, but as someone who didn't read the manga the story so far is fine.
The pacing is pretty good as well, and both the OP and ED are enjoyable that I don't skip it very much. The main character is Ushio Hinomaru and one of those super strong kind of characters but it also below average height. I do like these kind of characters probably since I'm also short. You don't ever see these kind of characters in western media either. The other characters are also enjoyable in their own way. I'm definitely enjoying it and it has made comparisons between sumo and other fighting types of sports which is interesting. This anime does show that realistic aspect of people not being interested in sumo and it does well to make sumo look like an interesting sport. Overall this sumo anime is rather decent and would recommend it.
