Food Fantasy
Food Fantasy is a mobile game where you collect characters called Food Souls to fight monsters and run your restaurant. The art is anime style and you have a choice of english or japanese voices. There's quite a lot of things to do in this game so it can be a bit hard to put down. Its not a bad game so I would recommend it.
What you're doing in this game is getting Food Souls from the gacha and having them fight monsters. The battle is the map that has different areas with battle nodes. Theres repeatable battles and battles that you only do once. The repeatable ones are used to farm ingredients. What nice is that there's an option to sweep so you just get the drops without battling. You can only sweep once you fulfilled all 3 mission challenges on the battle. Battling is automatic, but there are abilities that fills up during battle and you tap to use them. There are weak points on boss monsters that you tap as well, and sometimes the Food Souls get immobilized by something like ice that you need to tap them out of.
The food and the Food Souls you can use in the restaurant. You can assign them to be the staff. Theres a separate page for leveling up dishes and researching ingredient combinations to unlock more dishes. Working at the restaurant does deplete Food Souls energy so once you level up enough you unlock the Ice Arena where you put them to regain energy for free.
There is a story to this as well, and you can read it in the missions/quest list. There's also side quests/missions to do which rewards you with useful items to get more Food Souls and leveling up items. These missions does keep you busy.
Other than the gacha you can get shards for Food Souls and once you get enough you can summon them. There are multiple ways you can get these shards. Shards are also how you raise the star level of the Food Soul. Though for this game the star level and the rarity of the Food Soul is separate.
Overall I do like this game. It is different from all the idol-like games I have tried so this caught my attention more.
