Rage of Bahamut / Shingeki no Bahamut: Genesis and Virgin Soul
Shingeki no Bahamut is an action fantasy anime that has demons, angels, and of course humans. There's plenty of characters named after gods from different religions and even historical figures. The first season, Genesis, is 12 episodes long is about two male humans, Favaro and Kaisar, involvement with a girl name Amira who needs to go to Helheim.Season 2, Virgin Soul, is 24 episodes long
The art and animation in this anime is beautiful. Even though I don't really like the main characters. they were really nice to look at. The story of Genesis is ok. The story is mainly preventing Bahamut from reviving. There are a few side characters that I do like and mostly just watched this show for them and the art. I do like the designs of the demons and angels too. Lucifer only had like a minute of screen time in the whole 1st season, but damn is he pretty and sparkly. Amira is pretty too, but she is pretty much a kid in an adult body. Then there's Rita who is a loli character, but is like 200 years old so she's been the most reasonable character so I ended up liking her. She gets shit done.
In Virgin Soul, a new girl joins the main cast and her name is Nina. I don't find her as annoying as Amira as I find her getting flustered at every handsome young men to be entertaining. Story in this second season is a bit different as the new human king has been enslaving demons and defeating the gods. The story in the season is much more interesting to me. I don't think watching the first season is vital to understand the second season. I enjoyed the main cast a lot in this and the side characters weren't bad as well. I'm not too into the romantic shoujo/otome like part of this story but I can see why its there.
Overall, I definitely recommend this series! No word yet on whether there be a season 3, but if there is I would watch it.
