Graveyard Keeper

Graveyard Keeper is a similar to Harvest Moon/Stardew Vallery but you tend to a graveyard instead of farming. There is a garden plot but its doesn't require as much attention as Harvest Moon/Stardew Valley. Other than the graveyard there are a lot of other things you do, and sure it can feel like work the game but it is addicting to me. If you like these kind of games then due check this one out!

Story of the game is that something happened to you and you ended up having to be a graveyard keeper in some village. Your goal is to open a certain gate that will take you back to where you came from. There's no character creator so you're stuck with this guy as your character. There are a few quests that will teach you a bit of the game, but you are left to explore and figure things out on your own. This is a bit morbid as you do cut up flesh and body parts that are used to make food.

Most of the things you do aren't simple like the farming games. For example at the start you are suppose to fix up the gravestones. To do that you use a Wood Repair Kit which they will give you a few at the start but it won't repair all of them. No one sells these either but money to a bit hard to get so you go craft them. You need to unlock to craft these in the Technologies tab. Then you need to get make a Sawhorse, an anvil, furnace, and carpenters workbench to even make the materials to make the kit. Then you need to get all the wood and iron to make all these. Its a lot of work and I get that some people find this tedious. I don't mind it too much but it does get a bit frustrating to keep having to chop trees as these things requires a lot of trees.

Also doing anything other than walking and talking takes up energy. Your energy runs out pretty fast, but the day also goes by fast. Since both are fast I feel the need to rush to do as much as possible and something I don't like the guy sleep. Sleeping is nice as you can sleep whenever you want and it will regenerate energy and health points by the second. You can wake your character up at any point too. Sleeping and waking up seem to be the only way to save your game too. It does take a whole day for you to walk from your house all the way to the lighthouse which is a bit much for me since theres characters these and they have quests. Some characters only visit once per week there were a couple times I didn't make it because it turned dark and the character ended up walking away. You can't talk to them when they walking home and you'd have to wait another week to talk to them.

I definitely needed the wiki to find out what how to get and unlock things as well as lower the times I go back and forth from building, making the materials, and sleeping. The nice thing about this game is that there's no rush to get anything done on time. There's no seasons or certain year to hit. I am getting addicted to the game, but I can't say its the most fun game.
