Star Trek Beyond
I may not have watched the TV series, but I did enjoy the last Star Trek movie that I wanted to watch this new one as well. This movie is about 2 hours long which isn't too long. The cast is the same as the last movie as well. One of the actors, Anton Yelchin, did unfortunately died in an accident. He was only 27 years old.
The story for this movie is that there is a new base called Yorktown that's like a man-made global for people to live. There's a call for help to a stranded ship in some uncharted Nebula. The Enterprise goes into this Nebula, and things don't go so well. Compare to the previous movie, the story and villain isn't as out there. The story is decent. Its not a story that would bother people while watching it.
The character interactions and the visual eye candy is really the best part of this movie to me. SciFi movies are great at showcasing some really creative stuff. I did enjoy the two hours that I've watched this movie. I wouldn't say this is a must see, but if you have time I would say why not.
