Tsukiuta
So I never heard of this series before, but for some reason I decided to watch the anime. Tsukiuta is actually originally a series of drama and music CDs on these fictional idol characters. When I was looking for Ono Kensho's work I did come across quite a few of these, and I was a bit slow to realize it was the same character when I was watching Tsukiuta.
This show doesn't revolve around their songs, but just their daily lives. So far its mostly them doing promotional things and filming things. Each episode has focused on each character. There are 12 of them, and each represent one of the 12 months. Months are written the same as the moon, Tsuki, in Japanese. So that explains the Tsuki part of the title. There are girl groups too, but they don't seem to be appearing in the anime. The characters are university students too. The show is slice of life and cute. It might be boring but I find it to be a good background anime to have on. The OP feature the idols singing in 3D which is weird. Some of the episodes try to be serious, and then there are the silly ones.
