Its a fairly simply game where you feed the hamster sunflower seeds by tapping the seeds. You get more seeds by growing sunflowers which are time automated. They don't take too long to full grow, and they either grow to normal size or big size. The normal sized ones give you one seed while the big ones give you 10. Fertilizers will make your sunflowers grow faster for a limited time so you harvest the flowers as much as you can during this time. You earn one fertilizer when you level up.
Leveling up is done by having the hamster eat seeds. And when you level up your hamster might evolve! Its not really evolving like Pokemon is more like your hamster stars wearing some crazy wigs, haha. There are 20 types of evolutions you can unlock. To evolve and unlock them you have to make a combination of cage items. There are 3 items: food dish, house, and wheel. There are 7 variations of each item which you can buy with PP. You gain PP by feeding seeds and tapping your hamster when it has a heart bubble.
So far I've only unlocked Afro with just the blue dish, Scruffy Hamster with a blue dish and wheel, and Bowl-Cut with all blue items (blue dish, blue house, blue wheel). There is a pattern to unlocking the hamsters. For each style there is one for each cage item. Each style yields three hamsters to unlock. To unlock them you need to put down the bowl only and the rest are the default items. This will unlock one hamster, the 2nd hamster you put down the bowl and the house, and for the third is all 3 of the items. It's not hard to figure out what you need to get the evolutions because you can tap the unlocked ones and it will give you a silhouette of the items you need. It will even reveal the items if you buy them. The levels on the evolutions indicate the level you need to be on to unlock it. You can also buy different cages but they cost in the 10,000s so it would take awhile. I hope they continue to add new items and hamsters!
The art style is cute and its simple enough for kids to play. Though this is not going to entertain a child for long. Also the ads are a bit annoying. I plan on playing it till I unlock everything. Would recommend giving it a try if you like games like this.
