Starbucks Refreshers Raspberry Pomegranate
The Refreshers seems to be Starbucks new line of drinks where they use green coffee extract. The samples I tried at the store were tasty yet kinda dilute with water which is fine. You can purchase the mix for them too. But the one I'm going to talk about are the ones in a can that you find in the refrigerated drinks area. I was hoping it was the same as the ones you can get at Starbucks buts its different. The ones in the can are sparkling drinks that come in 3 flavors. The ingredients are simple: Carbonated water, Fruit juices from concentrate (white grape, apple, pomegranate, red raspberry), Erythritol, Natural Flavors, Vegetable Juice (color), Green Coffee Bean extract, Citric acid, ascorbic acid (vitamin c), Rebaudioside-A (stevia leaf extract), panax ginseng root powder extract, niacinamide (vitamin B3), Calcium D-Panthenate (vitamin B5), Pyridoxine hydrocloride (vitamin B6). This basically extracts and vitamins in water. Reminds me of Vitamin Water except without sugar.
Now for the taste, I was expecting to taste like typical juice but it wasn't. THe sweetness is subtle which is nice, but it has a strong diet taste that I really dislike. I don't like diet drinks because of the weird after taste. Its too medicine like for me. It was tough for me to finish the 12 fl oz can. At least it was only 60 calories and the serving size is the whole can unlike some drinks that says 2 servings.
Perhaps the other flavors will have a better taste, but I think I'll just stick with the Very Berry Hibiscus refreshers drink. I recommend that, not this. This is not refreshing.
