Olay Regenerist Microdermabrasion & Peel System
I heard good reviews on this product and have decided to
purchase it. Since scrubs and exfoliating cleanser don't do much for me,
I needed a microdermabrasion to keep my skin in check. I learned from this book
that if I don't feel warmth when I press my fingertips under my eyes
that I need to exfoliate. Regular scrubs don't do enough for my
blackheads and acne scars.
What I really like about this product is that it's two steps. First step is the derma crystal scrub. In comes in a tub and its really bright orange. The instructions say to use on a dry face, but I like using it in the shower so the heat will open up my pores. Facing away from the shower-head of course. The scrub is alot rougher than regular exfoliants, but its not too stripping unless you're harsh with it. This is what I want in a scrub cause it really feels like it will rid the dead skin away. The second step is peel activator serum that comes in a bottle with a little hole in the cap. The serum is clear and contains lactic acid. Like all peels, this step will burn a bit especially if you were rough with the first step. However the burn is very temporary. Unless its your first time ever doing a peel, it may irritated your skin so I suggest being gentle and don't use the product for too long. Over time you won't ever feel the burn in the second step.
Overall, I find this to be a really amazing product for the price. It leaves my skin super smooth and my pores are clearer and smaller. I've used this product for months and have bought another set since the one I'm using is about to run out.
