Summer skincare tips for combination to oily skin
Summer is the time for fun in the sun, however it can also do make our skin feel like we were having fun in a dirty oven. Breakouts, excessive oils, and increasing chances of getting spots and other sun damage. Some tips on helping with those issues.Acne: Serums and essences for acne works best for me all year long. Naruko Tea Tree Oil Out Balancing serum has done an excellent job at dramatically lowering my breakouts. AC Care Water Essence is a nice alternative that is a spray that you can apply on a thin layer. Its a good idea to apply twice a day for a couple months and by then you will noticed reduced in breakouts. You can then apply once a day or once every other day.
Oils: It can't get any gross when oil gets mixed with sweat. Blotting sheets are popular, but I do not like wasting money on them. Instead I use a mist and just pat it on my face whenever I feel too oily, or wet a cotton pad/tissue/paper towel and pat it on my face. This helps rehydrate my face plus with cold water its cooling as well. You can also use the mist to thin out your skincare products so it won't be so heavy on your skin. Using water with your skincare can also help improve your skincare effectiveness. This will also have the product last longer this way by not having to alot. It be nice to have a product that will not make me oily at all, but I have yet to find such a product.
Sun damage: Suncreen is very important anytime of the year. SPF 15 is the most common and good enough for the occasional and minor sun exposure. SPF only protect you from UVB which causes sunburns. The numbers next to the number indicates how long you are protect. 15 wil protect you for 3 hours if you know you will be out in the sun longer than that you will have to reapply for use a higher SPF product. PA indicates the strength of sun protection which adds UVA which causes aging to the skin. The +'s obviously indicates the protecting strength. I like using BB creams like Boscia which has SPF 27 PA++ which is good enough for me since I do not go out alot and its good for all year around. Shiseido Ultimate Sun Protection Cream is also really good and its water resistant with SPF 55 PA+++ so has a very high protection.
This is all I have so if there are any skin concerns I can think of I will have a part 2. Leave comments if you have any ideas. Have a great summer!!
